What are some of the best or better coyote hunting video's? For me so far, I like Randy Anderson's videos'. I haven't seen many other's and would hate to waste money on video's that are produced poorly.
I do not like video's where they use seperate camera's on the hunter and target. Seems like they could edit the video to show what they wanted, rather then what really occurred.
How would one get ahold of Rich Higgins' video. I was able to go to Norco, CA two weeks ago when Rich was one of the speakers. I thoroughly enjoy the day and all the info given out.
I would also like to get the mailing info for Gerry Blair, as his book will be coming out in the near future.

Jeff and Les Johnson's Video "Quest for Coyotes" is great. Although their second video set ( 3 DVD set ) Was a little too professional for my taste. At times I felt like I was watching one of those crappy canned deer hunts on TV.
Jeff Thomason and Todd Woodall put out a couple of video's under the Texas Predato Pursuit title. The two I have are both great.
One of the first quality made coyote video's is the "CoyoteGods" Vic, who does all of the shooting in the video posts here regularly, under the name AZhunter. I don't think it was ever put into DVD format, but you might contact him for the VCR version.
When Gerry's book comes out, you will be able to order it Here

The Randy Anderson videos are well made and have good action. Winter Magic is OK but they mostly hunt Fox, it is well made and narrated and I learned some about Fox.
I heard Operation Predator 4 (I think it is called)
was pretty cool with a bunch of good footage.
I wanna order it but haven't found it for sale.

Did we get to meet you at Norco?
I don't recommend our video, it isn't instructional.
I do recommend Mark Zepp's two videos. Very well done.
Not as professional as Mark's but second to none for content of instruction is Brent Saxton's Hunting in the East.

Predator Madness 2 from Drury Outdoors was an excellant DVD. It had humor, action and even misses. Les Johnson and his brother are in quite a bit of the coyote hunts in it.
There is trappingn and hunting. Fox, bobcat and coyote.
I thought it was well rounded on education of trapping AND hunting.
Quite entertaining on many levels in my opinion.

Rich Higgins, Yes I did get to speak with you (or rather ask & learn) a little after your talk, just before lunch. 3 or 4 of us spoke a little about e-callers and such.
I enjoyed the small Q&A time more then your lecture. The sound system had a large part to do with that. They also need a stage, you and your boards were too low. I never knew what heading, on your board, you were speaking of until you got into the topic a little. Those type of things need to be in line and in proper order when someone like yourself is speaking. You move along petty quickly. (Not not that you go so fast, one can't talk notes. It's those mentioned issues scewed that up a bit.)
The information you gave was great and had a lot of depth. I like how you based your information on studies that were conducted and field experience. Rather then, "I think this" or "I believe this" I hope to hear you speak again. Or do you have a book?
I'd still like to get ahold of one of your video's.
Thanks for your time and effort

Get Richs video. Its very, very good, if your interested in coyotes at all.
Vic and JHs video is very good.
Zepps are good.
Cal Taylors are good.
Thats about the only ones that I have seen that I really like. Cals first one was with a guy from Bass Pro. It was like Tim was talkin about, too much editing the guy raising the gun, talking, ect.... I would rather have good footage than watch the shooter click off the safety. Cals second video is excellent.

I didn't realize that Cal has 2 videos...What was the first one called?

I honestly dont remember. Some cat from Bass Pro, Jerry Martin, was the star of the show. Cal and I think Murphy Love were supporting cast, along with the dogs.
When I say that, I mean Cal and Murphy were callin and workin dogs and Jerry was doing the shooting and gettin all the clips in with him clickin off the safety and such.
While Im being brutally honest, Jerry turned me off some with some of his first comments. He was talking about how coyotes need to be thinned out and everyone should take their spare spring and summer time to go kill coyotes. He didnt mention killing denning pairs and possibly making a predation problem worse in the process.
Thats just my humble opinion. But the dog working part was excellent.

The Truth IV is pretty good, the Operation Predator video's are pretty good too.But for something that's not much for instruction but heavy on killing It's Predator Termination Time is pretty good.I live in the east so Back To The Basics is really good and i'm looking forward to Brent's next one.
