My name is Rich Miller and I've been living in AZ for just over a year. I have met many of you and am looking forward to getting to know the rest of you guys on this board. I just wanted to introduce myself because I have read the posts and been following what is going on, but recently decided to get in the game and throw in my 2 cents on things. Thanks for all the great info and what a wonderful way to discuss and learn about the coyote.
Thanks Rich

Welcome aboard!! Would this be the same Rich Miller in the famous Higgins, Higgins and Miller tag team?
Posted by RMiller (Member # 1530) on July 25, 2007, 08:52 AM:
Yes, I have been fortunate to be a part of thier team!

Welcome to The New Huntmastersbbs.com, RMiller. Glad to have you on board.
You get to hunt with the Higgins' for nothing? What a deal! Can you get me an autograph?
Good hunting. LB

Leonard, Rich M. is a coyote killing machine. He won top novice his first year and he won the biggie, Best of Seven Trophy. I can get you his autograph for a small fe.
Posted by Andy L (Member # 642) on July 25, 2007, 12:22 PM:
Rich, is the offer still open for a novice position in one hunt this year? Just wanna see how it goes. Never been in any contest but fishin.
Posted by RMiller (Member # 1530) on July 25, 2007, 02:08 PM:
Leonard, Im working on getting an autograph myself from both Tyler and Rich. My plan is to post it on ebay, retire with the funds, and hunt coyotes full time.
Posted by Cdog911 (Member # 7) on July 25, 2007, 04:44 PM:
Is everyone in AZ named Rich?
Welcome to the trenches, rookie PAKman.

Welcome Rich!

Andy, the novice hunt is Sept. 8-9.
If you can make it we'll kick the snot-nosed kids butts.
Posted by Cdog911 (Member # 7) on July 25, 2007, 07:29 PM:
Sheri,
Does it seems strange to you that all these folks from the Scottsdale area go by the name "Rich", or is it just a misguided sense of self importance?
I just confirmed merely an hour ago that one of my problem hunting guides here just sold most of a section of ground to a corporation from, you guessed it, Scottsdale so their people had a place to go hunt.
Posted by stevecriner (Member # 892) on July 25, 2007, 09:06 PM:
Hey RIchM glad to see ya. Thanks for sending me a pic of our trophyies we won while me ,you and Tyler were hunting in 104 temps, damn it was hot. Ill get mine at the campout i imagine....Its good to see ya.

I don't know Lance... it sounds like a story in there somewhere. I'd get on it if I were you! We got Rich, Richm, Richaz... let me know what you find. I just had a horrible thought. Do you suppose if Leonard moves to Arizonian he will be snatched up and become one of them too??!!??

Welcome, RichM. I live in northern AZ. If you're ever up this way, let me know and we can plan a hunt. I'm starting to attend the predator clubs in Phoenix and Mesa. Perhaps I'll get to meet you at one of those. Last weekend, at the Arizona Trappers Association Convention, I got Rich and Tyler's autographs and Les Johnson's, too on their DVDs. I'm not selling these for anything.
Posted by RMiller (Member # 1530) on July 26, 2007, 08:38 AM:
Steve, looking forward to hunting for a bit on the campout.
Dusty, thanks for the invite we can get a hunt in up north that would be great!
Thanks for the welcome everybody!!!!!!
Posted by Cdog911 (Member # 7) on July 26, 2007, 02:39 PM:
Autographs?!?!? Holy crap. What's the world coming to?
Sheri, I'd move there, but they don't have a part of town where you have to be named "PoWhiteTrash".

CDog; I think that it's some kind of code...... "Hi, I'm Rich. I'm from Snotsdale. Did I mention I'm Rich??"
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on July 26, 2007, 03:37 PM:
As long as we have them all here; something I always wanted to know. Why do they prefer Rick, Ricky or Rich (Richie) or Dick (Dickie?) or Richard? Gotta be a reason?
Good hunting. LB

Hi, Im Broke, from Missouri.

Me TOOO!!! Im thinking of taking up bounty hunting!!!!
Posted by RMiller (Member # 1530) on July 26, 2007, 05:14 PM:
I go by Rich because thats my name and in no way is it associated with my income. Ive never gone by Dick, just because the thought of being named after that body part just isnt me. Although I hope after I meet everyone at the campout, you all dont decide to change my name to the other. I dont live in Scottsdale and Im so broke I live with my sister and her husband. I pay rent with babysitting dues. Criner I'll sell you your trophy for a hundred bucks, I could use it for gas money to meet up at the campout.
Posted by smithers (Member # 646) on July 26, 2007, 05:18 PM:
Dick or Richard Richards
Richard or Dick Dickerson
Dick or Ricky Dix
Rick, Richie or Dick Dickson
Tom or TBagger?
The choices seem clear.

Rich, what snot nosed kids are you reffering to. I hope not Tyler and I. Im not sure of the exact frase that Tyler came up with at last year after the novice hunt results were in, but I think it was "Out with the old and in with the new!"
Posted by Cdog911 (Member # 7) on July 26, 2007, 05:34 PM:
Or, "It was a blood letting, as in, 'out with the old blood, in with the new'."
I suspect Tyler will be up there for a long time. You've hitched your horse to a good wagon.
Oh, Rich, we need someone Saturday from about 2 until 5 for my 8 year old. Can you make it?
(Sounds like a good rate on rent. Fun, too.)

Sure if when you get back at 5 we head out and film some coyotes untill dark.
Deal?
P.S. you have to throw in dinner as a tip!! Im a hell of a babysitter.

I don't pay mileage.
Posted by RMiller (Member # 1530) on July 26, 2007, 05:55 PM:
That makes things difficult then, that would be quite the commute! Sorry, looks like you will have to find someone else for the job.
Posted by Andy L (Member # 642) on July 26, 2007, 07:53 PM:
Sorry to tell ya RichM, but us old farts are gonna put a serious ass whuppin on you snot nosed pups.
Posted by RMiller (Member # 1530) on July 26, 2007, 08:39 PM:
Im sure you will, but it dosent hurt to do a little wishfull thinking.
Posted by stevecriner (Member # 892) on July 27, 2007, 04:13 AM:
Hey Rich I guess i cant get in on this Novice hunt? You and Tyler will have to hand it to em by yourself or can I be a novice two years in a row since i suck so bad?
Posted by RMiller (Member # 1530) on July 27, 2007, 08:08 AM:
Steve, unfortunately they wont let it happen two years in a row, I wish! I tryed that tactic also because Im limited in knowledge and ability like a novice. If i can talk them into it you will have to fly out and join us!
PS- How is little Zoey!
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on July 27, 2007, 09:38 AM:
bs! If Andy can be clasified as a "novice" then I'm a monkey's uncle. Why hell, he has hunted many years with the Coyote God hisself! He's got street cred all over the 'net.
I'm going to apply, because I frequently look to Andy for advice. I'm always asking him...like, "Higgins said this, or that; is he right?"
Steve is more novice than 99% of those supposed novices! Don't make me set up a poll, Krusty versus Criner.
Good hunting. LB
Posted by Andy L (Member # 642) on July 27, 2007, 09:56 AM:
My bio is lacking, as one "professional" put it. So I do qualify as a novice.
Posted by Andy L (Member # 642) on July 27, 2007, 10:19 AM:
BTW, LB, just for the record. I have never set a calling stand with JH.
Ive hunted with Norm Johnson, Dan Stipik, Jason Thee, Jimmy Adams and Blaine Eddy when I was there.
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on July 27, 2007, 10:25 AM:
Well, what's the deal? Take a number? $? How'd you get so knowed up?
Posted by Andy L (Member # 642) on July 27, 2007, 01:28 PM:
I aint knowed up on nuttin but good likker.
Dont know that Ive ever claimed to be knowed up on too much? I do screw around and kill a coyote now and then. I like callin coyotes.
Posted by stevecriner (Member # 892) on July 28, 2007, 12:05 AM:

So I do suck at calling coyotes....Man was that a joke gone bad and not in my favor...

Fortunate for Steve I've seen him in action. All I can say is the man knows his coyotes. Well sort of we only took 2nd. So maybe he is a novice.
Posted by DanS (Member # 316) on July 28, 2007, 10:00 AM:
Yep Andy and I hunted together for a few days under "Grand Master" Norms tutelage. But come to think of it, he (Andy) possesed somekind of Jedi mindcontrol mastery over those Arizona coyotes, and had those furry little critters basically running over him to get to the call. Damndest thing I've ever saw. He even shot more than Norm and I together.
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on July 28, 2007, 11:04 AM:
Sounds like you pulled his skirt up, Dan. Hiding behind a "novice" designation; shame!
I've heard the same thing, though? He's right up there with my other heros...you know who you are.
Good hunting. LB
Posted by Andy L (Member # 642) on July 29, 2007, 07:10 PM:
Dan, you know the secret to getting them in close. Stay at JHs, dont shower and you get the dead calf smell goin on.
I probably am more novice than anyone on the board. I havent killed thousands of coyotes. Due to work, I dont get to hunt like I want to. Just when I can. I dont live in the west where coyotes run rampant. But, I do have as much desire and respect for coyotes as anyone on the board or anywhere.
Call it what you will, but I call and kill enough when I get to go to suite me.
Im a novice.
