We got a phone call from the doctor's office, we have news. Big News!! The official pathologist report has come in and Tim does not have cancer, but Valley Fever. A serious form, but treatable. He'll be on medication for a while and can not be taken with .... alcohol. But a time will come when he can officially celebrate and join in the festivities. With glorious news like this his mind is still heavy for his friend Bruce. I'm sure that everyone's prayers have helped and hope that the same prayers can find comfort for him. A Very Happy Miss Joyce

Praise the Lord; Wonderful news.
Yes, we must continue to remember Bruce and Chris and their challenges..
Miss Joyce, thank you for taking the time to relay the message to us.
I am sure Tim is willing to give up the alcohol, cigars and other items to be able to breath deeply again.

Tell Tim that both me and his buddy Bob Wendt said to just leave those cigs alone! I will continue to pray, as Valley Fever is no little thing.

Yeeeeehaw! Valley Fever aint easy to cope with, but youll kick it Tim.
I live in the Central Valley in Kalifornia and I think we all have it, we just dont know it. This is the worst area for it apparently, I know a lot of people that have or have had it and they have pretty much all kicked it eventually.

Joyce......That is such great news! I was so concerned about Tim, as he has a lot living in front of him. I do want to thank everybody for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers.
Now, I want to preach to ALL OF YOU! If you were to ask me today if I thought I had cancer, I would say no. I do not have any symptoms to go see a doctor. However, I have had acid reflex for 40 years. In October 2000, my esopagus starting closing off where I could not swallow anything but liquids. I had an Endoscopy (Throat Scope) and they were able to stretch the portion that was closing off. A couple of months ago, this very symptom appeared, and I put it off for about 6 weeks, thinking all they had to do was do another stretch job. Wrong! They found cancer.
Today, Chris and I met for over 4 hours with the Chemo Doctor and the Radiation Doctor. I have completed every test known to man; MRI, CT, Endoscopy, Eultra Sound, Pet Scan, CT needle byopsy, etc. By the way for all of you "wussies" out there, all of these tests are painless.
As of today, I am a stage 4 cancer patient........and I still don't show any personal signs of cancer.
My message to you, especially those 40 and older, go get a FULL Colonoscopy and an Endoscopy. Do a Google search for stomach cancer, and you will find it is treateable before any signs appear. The only way to do that is get the Endoscopy and Full Colonoscopy. If nothing else, do it for your family. Again, these are both absolutely painless to do.
Starting Monday, I will go through 8 weeks of Radiation and Chemo at the same time. They think they can clean this up, but only time will tell.
Take care people,
Bruce A. Kennedy

That is wonderful news. Valley fever mold is an insidious lot. I'm glad Tim's is treatable with medication. Bruce, I'm surprised at how many guys our age are fighting stomach cancer that I know. Prognosis is good for all of them. As tuff and tough as you are, you'll kick it. I'll keep you in my prayers also.

Valley Fever is like the flu from Hell, but treatable.
Re. Bruce's post above; My father died of colon cancer. By the time the symptoms showed, he was terminal. Have a check-up. Get some tests done. Hell, it's the off season....we're not doing anything this time of year anyway. End of rant.

What a huge relief!!! Still thinking for you anyway Tim, as this Valley Fever doesn't sound pleasant in it's own right.
Thinking for you too Bruce. Just too much of this kind of stuff happening to too many good people right now.
