Have not been following this all that much, but a hunting buddy got the notice in the mail that bullets containing lead are being banned from Fort Hunter Ligget, Roberts etc.in July. To many Condors getting lead poisoning.
Im sure the rest of the state is not to far behind? [ June 15, 2007, 09:56 PM: Message edited by: Lone Howl ]

There is an Assembly Bill already passed and assigned to the Senate, a separate Senate Bill, and an amendment to the Fish and Game Code all in various stages of consideration. They all read a bit different, but it looks like lead bullets and shot bigger than BB will be banned in South Zone A, D9, D10, D11, and D13, probably by Jan 1, 2008.
I fully expect all lead bullets and shot, wheel weights, and fishing sinkers to be banned statewide, possibly nationwide, in the next 3 to 5 years.

Good hunting. LB
