Looks Great, but I bet the wife makes to move them all to the furbuyers!

Nice haul, Cal. Now, save them for a decent price. That's what JH does. [Razz]

Good hunting. LB

Our fur sale at Kaycee is the 11th so we'll see about prices. Cat season was over on the 1st. I hate catching red fox, because there are so few left here. But they were caught in coyote stuff and had enough foot damage to end up on the stretcher.

Nice work Cal! You guys truly have some beautiful kitty's out that way! Was that catch mainly on footholds or snares?

Wow,
If I am counting right, you have more cats than coyotes. Nice...

Dan, Thats because I throw away about every other coyote due to mange or them being dead in a snare too long. I will say that the coyotes I kept are nice.

ND, Both snares and foot holds.

Just an observation, Cal. No criticism. I remember a few of those lunkers you got last year. What I see hanging, a good percentage of smaller cats, no real monsters, or am I mistaken?

Good hunting. LB

Nice fur. Nicer cats.

One possible byproduct of the coyote mange is that your foxes might rebound a bit. That exact thing happened in eastern Mo. in recent years.

There ought to be a quip or photo caption that could be made up along the lines of hangin with the big dogs or stayin on the porch.

I hunt in N Eastern MO, and the mange there has been terrible. They just opened cat season in that part of the state a couple of years ago. I don't see lots of cats up there.

They are about the same as normal Leonard. Most of them stretched to over 40". I think there is only one that is under 34". So they will almost all grade at XL or better. The only thing not normal is the number. I usually have a few more, but started late this year. And the price is way off from 30 days ago. Waiting is a gamble, sometimes you win and..... you know the rest.

Very nice Cal! Your ‘cats have more defined spots than the ones we caught. The buyer was only half as proud of our catch as we were, we sold anyway. Kinda like selling wheat at harvest I guess?
