We are supposed to get to 15 to 18 below tonight with 30 to 40 mph winds. Windchills could hit 50 to 60 below. Not a nice evening.

Cal, we are under a snow and blowing snow advisory tonight and temperatures are forecast to be -10. Think I'll be staying close to the fire this evening and then throw another blanket on the bed.

Even back here in Iowa, the weather man says it is gonna be colder than a well diggers arse in Wyoming on Christmas Eve around here for the next several days. Should be great calling weather out around Gillett. [Cool]

Calling weather? What the heck are you talking about Rich? I can stand alot of cold, but the wind is a deal killer. Won't be any calling going on around here! Cept maybe calling the gas company for more propane.

The weather in SASK. Canada is cool -5 F with 4o - 50 mph wind. It will be colder on the weekend -25 to -35 F. It is not to bad to call as long as the wind does not blow too hard.

Sounds like a good day to call with a wind like that. You need a breeze like that so you know where to set up & you do not worry about the wind changing direction.

Cal,
It seems the older I get the less I like the wind. I still handel the cold ok, but the wind and or rain shuts me down real quick.

I heard a rumor that the wind in Wyoming don't blow, It sucks. Every time I been there it was blowing not sucking, so do you hunt the days it blows or the days it sucks?

LOL... just funnin ya Cal, that darn wind in your country is hard on a Idaho wolfer. I worked a little in the oil field up in your country many years ago and it seemed to blow all the time when I was there. I still ain't got over that...

Here in SW Idaho its about + 15 with a 10 mph wind but I'm hoping it will lay down for a few hours in the morning. Hope to get out and do some callin at first light so I better git.

Take care of yourself Cal

Well, here we are in Peoria, AZ and you couldn't ask for a nicer day. They said the overnight low was 40º but you couln't prove it by me? It must be a balmy 75º right now? Wish I had my address book, I'd look up a couple friends.

Good hunting. LB

We went out this morning. We got a late start though, guess my partners wife got stuck in thier driveway, so he had to get his bobcat started and plow before hunting! BUT, Denver set a new low record last night at -18 degrees. Luckfully the wind died down and we got two sets in before the wind shifted and REALLY got to blowing. We managed to call to singles, but my shooter gave one of them a free pass! We only got about another 3" of snow yesterday, that puts us between 60" and 70" this winter, with the snowiest months to come!! Can someone say "wet spring"! [Eek!]
