Just lost all my Coyote, Bobcat and Hog hunting places in the county.
My rancher buddy had it leased for 37 years and they pulled all his leases without letting him bid against the other parties.
They are going to try and raise millet in this marsh.
Guess I had better clean up the boom sprayer for the Honda.

More good news. Sorry about that, Ronnie. What is a boom sprayer and why do you want to spray booms?

Rich Higgins , It is a tank full of weed killer mounted on the tractor. Long pipes (booms) fold outward and several spray nossels are attached to the boom. I think our friend is just gonna spray some weeds around his place ya see. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

They're going to try to raise millet where you've been showing us those hog traps ??
This could get interesting to watch.

varmit,
Sorry to hear about the lease. The same thing is probably going to happen to me in a year or two.
We've been on ours for 28 years.
Going to be pretty tough to leave all those memories.

Well that's the shits...
Thank goodness for public land. Without it, I wouldn't even be a hunter.

Sorry to hear that Ronnie. I lost about 6000 acres two years ago. My cousin was the forman of the ranch and he got into it with the owner. I didnt have anything to do with it, but he kicked my ass out too when he fired him.
Sucks big time. We dont have any good public land to speak of.

Sorry to hear about that Ronnie. It's getting harder and harder to find places to hunt every year. Friggin' deer!

To add insult to injury. One of those pastures was were my 1000 yard range was at, and I had just fished the test rounds for the new 6.5 X 284.

Ronnie,I'm curious, after leasing that land for 37 years, why would they pull his leases and not leave the man bid again?..Wouldn't have nothing to do with politics, would it?
Whatever happened,it is bad news for sure.

Sorry to hear about the loss of hunting lease. On the brighter side i gained 1000 acres at home this year and have added six more ranches from out west. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Melvin. Every thing in Texas is politically motivated. I know it's the same all over. Texas has just perfected the art. You have to remember when LBJ got elected to congress he got 3,000 more votes in one county than they had voters in the county.
Ta17 Glad to hear of you're good fortune.
