Just so you guys will know I didn't always spend all of my sparetime calling coyotes or making calls. I took this one with a bow on Oct. 30th, 1985.

You shot him with a bow before or after he was hung on that block wall?

What I really want to hear is the joke you told him.
I can never get them to smile that big.

OK. I'll say it. That's a very nice deer.

Rich, that is an impressive deer, and I think if you posted his measurements it might be even more impressive. I don't think the angle of that photo does him justice.
When I say measurements I merely mean spread. tine length, diameter at bases, etc... - I'm not, nor will I ever be, up on that 100's of inches stuff.

How old? He either had a lot of years or had the roan/pie-bald thing going on.

True trophy.

Nice buck, but I thnk that your den could stand a coat of paint.

Did you have the antlers scored??

Pope&Young score was 171&3/8". It has been a long time, but I believe some of those points are over 11" long. The mount is covered with dust because I don't get up there and dust him off. The buck was probably about five years old. I noticed the grey muzzle right off.

Rich, I'm not sure my true sentiment came through on my last post....

Trophy, pure and simple!

Super Buck Rich. When you get them up where the Grand Kids can't get hold of them there hell to dust.
