Looks like I'll be arriving around brunch on Friday. Lance, if you still need a howler to use let me know. I have a few I could bring along.

Tom, I'm good. Thanks. Got more than I need now. [Wink]

NASA,

re your inquiry about lodging, here's the convention website. Scroll down and there's motels listed with links.

Lance,

Does that mean that you now have a Pretty howler to use again?

Yep, it's pretty and home. And I'll be demo'ing the Power Howler at NTA just to make sure that the PH gets its fair share of exposure against the Primos line with Randy. I think more people are interested in seeing one of Rich's howlers up close than they are of meeting me from the inquiries I've entertained. Got a new band on it last night and will spend the next few nights annoying the neighbors to get it "broke in" a bit.

Oh, and Tim, thanks for asking. [Smile]

(And Rich, thanks again).

I wish I had a pretty howler to use.

I was going to offer you my old Cronk howler, it's old and cracked up, but it still sounds great.

Good luck to you at the Nationals!

Me too! I was told I was going to get one at the ATA, but it didn't happen. [Frown]

If it's got smooth, shapely curves and you put your mouth on one end and it's got a big hole on the other end, well..... We can only be talking about one thing, right? [Big Grin]

Got me a visual right there, I did. BRAIN SCRAPE!!!

I was kinda thinking about the days when I could make a woman howl. Still can, exceptin' now it's not the kind of howling I can brag about. [Eek!]

I'm just lucky my wife let's me run off with all you guys. She don't worry about me chasin' women and such. Says it has something to do with the fact that she's see me in action. Don't understand that, but then again...

MAde a day of it down there. Crowd is kinda spread out, but it's still the first day. Lotsa nice buildings full of trapping stuff. Met with Rick Pallet of Randy Anderson fame. he and I only live about 30 miles apart, but today's the first time we've met. Gonna hunt together this winter.

Got to visit with Jake Edson, Assistant Editor with T&PC. First time I've met him, too. Real nice guy.

Sat in on a couple demos to see what's expected of me and met the guys with Minaska Outdoors to look over their Bandit e-callers. Nice units. Worth a look. Looking forward to Saturday. I'll take pictures.

Lance's demo was the last one scheduled on the last day of the show. Even though the sellers were packing up and the beer booth was closed, folks stuck around for his seminar. Good show Lance! [Big Grin] I gotta' try the 'coon thing, lol.

I got to talk to Rick and Randy for a bit. Rick was showing the video of TR's archery coyote. A real crowd pleaser.

Scott H. was there for a few hours on Sat, but he left before I got a chance to say Hi.

I also met and learned a bunch from Keith Gregerson, Slim Pederson, and Rally Hess. Gregerson is a buddy of Major Boddicker's. I was expecting him to incorporate calling somehow into his snaring demo, but he didn't.

The other seminars also gave up a lot of useful info on set-up, subtle eye-signs, guides, and trail "grooming" that I can apply.

I was able to pick up some snaring hardware and useful advice at just about every table I stopped at.

I even got a chance to b.s. a little with Q. It was a great weekend. Even though it cost me another damn ticket getting there. [Mad]

Nasa, I got stopped on the way home also. I was a little luckier though. The guy who stopped me was a trapper, and when I told him were I had been, we discussed the convention a little and he sent me on with a warning. With that luck, I should have headed for the casino.

I was looking for a guy with a young boy in tow at the show. There were about 15 of them there, and another 5 with little girls in tow. I never did see "Momma", lol. I guess a Dad's gotta do what ever's necessary to get out once in a while.
