I guess Bush was caught off gaurd by a question about brokeback mountain asked of him "since he's a rancher and all"...
Here's the whole story. http://www.kcci.com/entertainment/6394423/detail.html

Well I was lucky enough to be at Bush's speech because I go to Kansas State University. All the questions were unscreened and lets just say that the kid that asked this question is quite the character, while waiting in line there were several protesters which is fine but this kid was carrying a sign around that read impeach George W and elect Bo Jackson, he was also wearing a hitler mustache. Overall I thought the President did a good job delivering his message and actually just talked and laughed instead of giving a speech.

I watched it on television yesterday and am somewhat surprisd at the way the media is making W out to be a dumbass for his hesitation in answering this guy's question. If you watch the entire exchange, you know that the President was trying to make sure he didn't say something about the movie that would cause a backlash of criticism. I'd have loved to hear him speak truthfully and give his real opinion. Something like, "Well, son, no I haven't. In Texas, where I ranch, we don't like those pinky-assed homosexuals, nor do we care a whole lot about liberal candy asses that try to force their culture and liberal lifetsyles on us. Then again, they seem to be awfully good at that, the selfish bastards."
Yep, that would have been something to see.
Along that same note, he had another somewhat humorous exchange with a young lady of Kurdish Iraqi descent who has two relatives in the newly formed Iraqi Congress. She was given the opportunity to ask the President a question, but took the opportunity to shower W with accolades for making the right decisions on behalf of her countrymen, to tell about all the great things that have been done by Coalition forces for her country, and to explain that she was Iraqi Kurd, her husband is Catholic and her mother, an Iraqi Christian. W tried to cut her off several times and move on to a question, but she persisted. He laughed, as did everyone else in Bramlage, but do you see the media sharing that with the nation? ![[Mad]](mad.gif)

Yea, I've noticed most of the new sitcoms have a "gay" character, like in reality every group of friends has a "guy" member in the group.
I guess the old saying "every village needs an idiot" is being changed by hollywood to "every group need a gay guy"...

I am somewhat surprised that Bush didn't just tell the dumb shit what he thinks about queers.

If you watch the short video clip of W answering that question, it becomes pretty clear to a rational person how the media is trying to portray that moment.

Everybody sends their queers to San Francisco or Hollywood.
Funny story. We had a big hunt and arrived several hours early, for check in. This was a service road off the freeway. After a while, we noticed many men, alone, that would park on the shoulder and get out and wander in the trees. Puzzling? At first, we just thought it was a smoke break, or something? Come to find out it was gay encounters, in the bushes.
We looked at these guys, and I was baffled. They looked completely normal, no fag clothes, but they did seem to drive small jeeps and similiar vehicles. Otherwise, from a distance, you would never know what was going on, except for the constant comings and goings! Also, two of the guys in our club actually saw what was going on as they drove past. These individuals didn't wait for the privacy of the bushes, they just opened the passenger door and bent over....Oh, darn!~I can't go on. But, it sounded disgusting.
Good hunting. LB

Jeremy,
I'm reminiscing here after reading your thoughts in that last post and can honestly thank God that the internet didn't exist when I was at KSU otherwise there would have been a lot of nights in Aggieville that would have spawned big time long-term problems for me. Me, beer and an open forum are just wrong, wrong, wrong.

No, don't worry about it, Rich.
It was Krusty in his new hunting vehicle. You can still see it under the "vehicle" forum.
Tim edited his post, for which I thank him; but I am sure that K was not (very) offended so the gesture was unnecessary. Really was funny, though!
I think it is an unfortunate coincidence that there are (at least) two students at Kansas State with the same first name.
Good hunting. LB
