Gerald's post got me to thinking about my own life & past injuries. A wonder some of us are still here. Here's some of my misfortunes;
2-different vehicle rollover's, [TKO] both times.
Shot in the back, 12ga #7 or 8 shot 50-60yrds
.
Fell 12ft onto a concrete sidewalk, fighting a house fire. Broke the beam of a F.D Roof Ladder with my lower back upon impact.
Pistol whipped with a 6" Smith, [steel is hard].
Fought a big guy. He hit me so hard, lifted me off the ground 3'. I was consious mid-flight, until I hit a cement pole. With my jaw upon impact, coming down [TKO].
Pushed off a 5' platform, landed on my head. Snapped my head [TKO].
Had flames & heat bear down on me[I wanted to scream].
Hit a taught steel wire clothes line on a full run. Lifted me horizontal.
Fought a German Shepherd[he almost won].
Dove head first into 3' of water[funny brother's
].
Was choking to death in the basement of a business fire[rescued by my Captain
]
Was shocked hard by 120 & 240 Volts 1-time each. Wasn't my day.
Those are some that come to mind.
Let's hear some of yours.

I've fought a number of dogs, German Shepard's, rotts, a pit-bull, chows and Dalmatians ( Never turn your back on a cow dog, or a Chihuahua ) to name a few. Haven't lost a fight to a dog yet, but I'm sure my day is coming.
Been shot a few times with a shotgun, once or twice on accident. Shot at with handguns for being someplace I shouldn't have been.
I've been shocked by 120, 240, 277, 480, 2400 and a couple of times by 7620 volts.
I've done the clothesline thing, rolled vehicles and got into fights with guys twice my size.
And as I type this, two deputies are down talking with my neighbor who just threatened to kill me and my family.
I'm getting a restraining order tomorrow.

Christ almighty Tim....whats going on in EE land?
Is that nut case Running Deer your neighbor? For such a placid rural setting as McNeal, sure a lot of mischeif going on?
Posted by Tim Behle (Member # 209) on October 25, 2005, 09:49 PM:
Running Deer WAS a neighbor. I saw him last week standing on the highway by my gate. Wearing a grey suit, looked like he hadn't had a bath since his last visit to jail. Did you know that they turned him loose once because he stunk so bad and refused to shower while there?
This is the sheep guy who keeps cutting fence's and stealing gates. He kept driving up and down the road to my house in a car I've never seen, so I went out to see who it was and what was going on. He flipped out, cussed me out and said I'd better make sure my life insurance was paid up as my time was soon coming. As I turned to leave, he hollered out that I'd better pay up on my "Old lady and kids" cause they were going to get it too.
I've never had a good neighbor in my life, I feel like flypaper for freaks.

Keep you're rifle loaded and you're carry gun on you're hip...He sounds like a real fruitcake!

Placid rural setting? Sounds like Peyton Place and New Jack City all rolled into one? I can feel the electricity from here!
Just don't cut that freak any slack, Tim. Miss Joyce can shoot too, can't she? (dumb question)
Good hunting. LB

Threatened my family. I'd dove into his stink car & got it over with
Take care, Tim

Good lord, I don't think I could take that shit Tim! You are probably best getting the police to come out... fill out a report.. get a restraining order... then cap his ass so it looks like you tried to work with the system.
I've cut off a few fingers, rolled a couple trucks. Fell off a roof, fell down a mountain. Blew out my ear drum with a shotgun. My girlfriends ex-boyfriend broke my tailbone in football practice (He taught me about "working the system" as discussed above).
Had my butt kicked by a few deer and a couple elk. Used to train police dogs so I obviously took some bites there. Lots of other aches and pains over the years... perhaps blunt force head trama has caused me to forget the others.

All those head injuries explain a lot.
Considering most prosecutor's mindset in today's legal climate, apparently one is not innocent until proven guilty and I have read of certain prosecutors using statements made on the internet as proof of prior intent. So for myself, I have never been in a fight, I have never spoken harshly to anyone and I certainly would never wish ill on anyone and I'm sure that Tim wouldn't either.

I havent had alot of serious injuries, per say. But, for my age, Ive been sawed on quite a bit.
I had a horse fall with me and broke my right ankle in 3 places. Then, I broke it again several years later, fishing, of all things.
I had my wedding ring catch on a step on a deer stand and almost ripped my finger off. It still gives me trouble. Those are the only two injuries I have had.
But, I have had my tonsils and appendix removed.
Bladder surgery.
My right knee rebuilt.
Two discs fused in my lower back. Including taking a bone from my hip for the fusion and two rods and six screws. ( I have two more that need the same thing, if I ever get the nerve up. Its the one above and below the last two. He said hes gonna have to pry that old steel out of my spine and put longer rods in to cover them all. Scares me. )
All this by age 38. Cant wait for the old fart stuff to set in.
Andy
Oh, in 8th grade, a buddy shot me in the leg with a 410 shotgun. I had on heavy clothes and the shot stuck under the skin. I picked them out with a knife so my folks wouldnt find out and not let me hunt with him anymore. His dad had good beagles, didnt wanna screw that up.... ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

There's a happy thought! Have brother Higgins pay a social call and render Running Bare unable to testify even in sign language. Be fun to watch....eh, I mean witness!
Good hunting. LB

Rich,
I don't mind making my intentions public. My intentions are, as I told my neighbor last night, to be left alone.
Don't yank my chain, and I won't yank yours.
I don't wish anything bad on him or anyone else, I left him last night before the situation degraded to anything violent, and called the Sheriff.
I think the man needs mental counseling, and I hope he gets it.
Until then, I'm making a legal paper trail of his harrassment.

No doubt you are more composed than I, Tim.
------------
I rank bullies/evil people & threats with [extreme contempt]. Especially when they are aimed at my family. There are IMO, some people who are truely mentally maligned. The rest[majority] use it as a lame excuse to do their evil-will eg;["innocent" by reason of insanity]
BS, to that.
I'll meet most people 1/2 way. That's all I'll yield. Bullies & evil people, will get none from me.
