The news casters must be doing a good job. I sure am apprehensive for some Cajuns.

Yeah, it must be a big one. I was helping a budding taxidermist do a deer mount today. He's a lineman for Westar Electric here in Kansas and just as we were getting done, he got the call. They leave tonight.
Ronnie-
Awfully close to you. Keep your head down and put some pontoons on your chair. Be careful. Praying for all of you.

"A storm of epic proportions" is about to ruin the city of New Orleans, if it stays on track.

Yep it coming. I heard on the local radio station that the motels have filled up and they opened a shelter up in Longview to hold the rest.
Ronnie,
As Lance said, Hang on dude

Nasa,
Nawlins needs a good bath, but this just maybe to much. I've heard that a lot of that city is below sea level.

Yeah, I heard it was a catagory 5 for a while and is now classified as a catagory 4 with sustained winds of 160MPH. That'll raise hell with a bunch of trailer parks. Does not look good.
Good hunting. LB

Bourbon St. could be under as much as 10 feet of water. It's going to take a long, long time to dry out from this one.

By all accounts this is an epic storm. If it floods those coastal cities like they predict, it's going to cost billions.
Good hunting. LB

We are having 35 mph North winds from the rotation. The West bound freeway is just griping. There are opening every thing they can from here to Corpus for the folks coming from Louisiana.
This is were you feel guilty. When a storm comes into the Gulf. You don't wont it,but you feel bad when someone else gets it. I am afraid this is going to be catastrophic.
