Does anyone recognize this photo? If you know who the owner is please tell me how to get in touch with them or give my name and e-mail to the owner to contact me. I would love to get higher resolution copies of this and other similar shots as well as permission to use them in the calendar. They were sent to Coondawgs earlier this year. Pictures like this are a nice change. If you have any photos with the critter you were hunting please send them along, if you are in them I may take you out of the picture Smile. gstaffiere@comcast.net Thanx for your help.

Thanx Leonard I appreciate the help.
Someone sent me here to look for the pictures owner. I had never been here before. Good looking site. Very nicely done. Do most of the hunters hunt with dogs? If so what percentage hunt coonhounds? My husband and our Bluetick Raven are the hunters in the family. I support them 100% and put a calendar together showing the coonhounds doing what the were bred to do in the best light possible. My goal is to do it gain this year. If you all have coonhouns pictures in high resolution (I get the calendar professionally prrinted) please send them one at a time if necessary. Thanx for your time.

Ladeeraven,
If your only looking for coon-hound pics. There are a few members on "Iowa Outdoors" web-site. They might be able to help ya out on that.
We used to use trail-hounds & greyhounds on fox & coyote. Many moons ago. I'd have to contact a few of my Dads buddy's to see if they still have some huntin pics, if your interested.
By the way, those are some awesome pics of that lion & hounds.

Hi 2Dogs, I really just want coonhounds, and here is the reason... 2 years ago next month when we got our Bluetick, Raven I had never heard of a coonhound. (I'm a city girl) It was love at first sight. Well that Christmas my husband tried to find a Coonhound or Bluetick calendar. There wasn't one to be found. The only thing he found ws a B&T. Well I thought "I have the technology and talent all I need is the photos" I joined every Coonhound board I could find and asked for photos. At first people were kind of hesitant, then 2 wonderful men trusted me with their dogs and I posted samples. After people saw that I was a professional and knew what I was doing the photos started coming in. Anyway... there are calendars for all kinds of dogs and now I am proud to say there is a Coonhound Calendar™ as well.

Have you seen Bruce Kennedy's Shade Tree? It's all about hunting with hounds, and he has a wonderful picture forum!
Posted by Ladeeraven (Member # 652) on May 16, 2005, 04:54 PM:
I don't go to ShadeTree. I used to but I have been shut out. I would love to get back on but the man that runs it wont give me the common courtesy of answering my e-mail.
There are a few other sites that have been great for picture collection. Now that we have it clear that I am all for hunting. Married to a hunter and don't support any Anti hunting or PETA groups. Matter of fact my hubby says PETA means People Eating Tasty Animals!

Bruce is a good guy, but he has a spam filter from hell. I hate the damned thing. He only gets about a third of what I send him from home, and nothing from my work address. Both addresses are on his "Friends" list. He has a heart of gold, it's just a pain to get in touch with him to see it. I bet a lot of people have blown him off, for no replies, when the problem is he doesn't ever see the email.

Bruce is friend's with a number of people that post on this board, including me; I have been in his home. I wonder what the problem is? He may see this, and at least offer you an explanation. I hope he does.
Good hunting. LB
edit: Tim is right. Bruce's email is impenetrable, unless he expects to hear from you; even then it is "iffy".

We had greyhounds, staghounds-(greyhound & Wolfhound X's) & a B&T Hound as well as a Walker Hound trail-coyote hounds. Many moons ago, my Dad & his buddy's had quite a pile of photo's. Not many left anymore. I have only three pics. I would have to do some asking, maybe find more.

I remember you coming on my board, post after post about wanting pics, so you could sell your calender. I also remember asking you for a FREE calender for FREE advertising on the board. You said you could not afford that. I then asked you for a $15.00 - $20.00 donation to the Houndsmen BBQ in exchange for FREE advertising. You said NO! You sure as hell want FREE access to over 2,000 members of my board to hawk your calender and you can't afford to send a FREE calender or donate $20.00 to the Houndsmen BBQ???????
You also like to point out that you are a hunter JUST LIKE US, but we have reason to believe you are an ANTI and part of your profit goes to an ANTI hunting site.
You have a good day, and you are still banned from my board!

Bruce, I did try to back get on your board (which I didn't know was yours at the time)to try and get your address. When I couldn't get on I e-mailed you asking what had happened and for you to send me your address and you wouldn't reply to my e-mail. When you first "Told me" you wanted a free calendar there was another guy asking for one as well. I didn't know you were the owner either. I sent a free calendar to Todd at UKC. I appreciated you letting me beg for photos. I am not anti hunting and I have been through that a few times over at UKC and Coondawgs. I gave my word to donate to a particular rescue that I later found out people have issues with. If you see my calendar I portray the dogs as hunters in most of the months. What the heck can you see that is ANTI? Be realistic please.
As I said before I didn't know what a coonhound was 2 years ago. I am learning who is who and who runs what. I'm sorry you never replied to me, I was prepared to send you a calendar. I will happily send you a 2006 when it comes out and it doesn't matter if you keep me off your board I owe you one.
I have no problem with hunters, I married one. My only complaint on these boards is there are a few people that wont give anyone a second chance. Or let a mistake slide. Do one thing to tick someone off and thats it!
Bruce I swear to God I don't want anything from you but your address to send you what your due. And accept my appology if I read you wrong and didn't know who you were.
Best I got guys.

Melvin, I am not anti so I'm not sure what you think you caught on to. I have not infiltrated anything. I am not a hunter myself and have never claimed to be but my husband is and he and my dog have brought home a few critters they have hunted. It makes them happy to hunt so it makes me happy.
More than one hunter has thanked me for showing the dogs in my calendar as the regal hunters they are. I appreciate that Bruce is your friend but I hope you can look into the fact before you pass judgement. I also hope Bruce will read the previous post and cut me a breeak as well. Buckshot from coondawgs was on me mecilessly for giving my word to donate last years meager profits and now after having proven my word means something he has accepted my word to him and all the hunters on UKC and Coondawgs that I am not ANTI and will not support any anti or PETA organizations.
I can't and wont appologize the rest of my life. Many on the hunting boards have quoted the Bible, yet there is still a few that wont forgive a simple mistake.
Look at the calendar and tell me what ANTI would design that?

Hi Gayle, welcome to Huntmasters.
We as a group are predator callers and normally do not use dogs to that end. Cal taylor uses denning dogs to decoy coyotes back to him during certain times of the year and he has some dandy photos if you should decide to do a calendar on coyote dogs. I can put you in contact with coursing hound men as well as denners if you decide to do a pictorial of these dogs, can't help you with coon hounds.
BTW, the best you got is very good. Again, welcome.
Posted by Ladeeraven (Member # 652) on May 17, 2005, 04:59 PM:
Thank you Rich. If this years Coonhound Calendar™ goes well I might look into another breed of dog to feature. Is there a large groupof hunters with denning dogs? The Calendar sold out this year to my surprise and joy. If I do another breed of dog it has to show the dogs doing what they are bred to do and it has to be different from anything you can buy now.
I was so upset we missed an opportunity to photograph Raven, our Bluetick treeing a wild turkey! I have a bad back and don't get to go out hunting with my boys so it was a thrill for me to see Raven at work. Jim, my husband was ticked he didn't have a bow. It's the only thing he could use in our neighborhood (suburban Massachusetts) and not get arrested.

Gayle, I must remain neutral, and hope your problem is the result of a misunderstanding......but you do deserve style points for stating your case!
If there be no other way to fulfill your part of a bargain, you can send the calendar to me and I will see that Bruce gets it; and I believe he would have a hard time turning it down, he loves his dogs.
Best I can do.
LB
PS, I am a big fan of Blueticks, but if Vic would have given up his redbone last year, I would have taken her home. Kind of funny too, because the dog originally belonged to JohnHenry; I know he would be proud to know I adopted one of his dogs. But, she is a spitting image to my dog that died a few years back.

Hi Leonard, I would never ask anyone to take sides. Like the old saying goes there are three sides to every story. >grin< I remember one thing Bruce remembers another. Everyone is entitled to an opinion as long as it is an informed one. Besides that isn't what this is about. I'm not looking to point fingers. Just wanna fix what isn't right.
I am what I say I am. I am the wife of a hunter and the "People Pet" to a Bluetick, >grin< I am the proud designer of the first EVER Coonhound Calendar™ and I am human. I screw up and when I'm told about it I appologize and move on having learned from my mistakes. Just don't ignore me when I ask what I did wrong.
Thats all on that subject!
Do you have any pictures of the dog that passed away? If so scan a few in and send thm to me. Not for publication but I'll do a memorial thing for you. I did one for Smilincoyote for her dog that died. If she say I can show you I'll post it here for you to see. No cost, I don't take money for stuff like that.

Are you talking about Bootsie? It wouldn't be fair to send that dog to the city. If Vic ever wants to give her up, she has a home just down the road at my place. I've always loved that dog!
The only fault I've ever found in John-Henry's ex-girlfriend Lori, was that she got rid of Bootsie's father with out asking me if I wanted him first!

I'd like to see a calendar of coyotes. I'm sure you could acquire lots of photos of coyote, bobcats, fox and predators in general.

Posted by bucksnort (Member # 202) on May 18, 2005, 07:31 AM:
Gayle, you accuse me of not having the COURSE of responding to your e-mails. I have run several boards over the last 10 years, and I learned, through hard knocks, once you ban a person, you NEVER respond to that person. Why? Because it always goes down hill from there. Anything I say in a response e-mail, is always plastered all over other boards. No response - no fuel for the fire. So don't feel left out.
The following statement is the first thing a person sees, when they read the "Board Rules." In fairness to you, this may have been inserted before or after you were banned, as I don't have a clue when it was inserted.
quote:
NOTE: If you get booted from this board, don't send me an e-mail asking me for an explanation. I no longer respond to such e-mails, because I learned long ago, that you take my response and post it on every board you can. We offer FREE advertising of dogs, pups, used trackers, lights, guns, shockers, etc. I consider this a one time sale, and not one trying to make a living off of it. If you try to sell items, and you are going to make a profit, such as trying to make a living from it, that will not work. When in doubt, e-mail me, as I am easy to get along with, and a little RESPECT goes a long ways - perhaps a $50.00 donation to the 2005 Spring BBQ would be nice. This board costs me $1,350.00 per year, and I do not incur that expense to make you a living, because you want FREE advertising for nothing. Again, when in doubt, ask first.
My reason for this above statement is simple. I created the board to be a "help"......an "Information" driven type board. I do not want to turn it into a "Romper Room" or "Classifieds" board for everybody to sell their items. Yes, we do have FREE classifieds for the members, per the above note, but that is as far as it goes.
I think a "Coyote" hunting calender would a big hit, and there are members of this board who can provide some great photos.
I recall you took a severe "thrashing" on one of the other boards, regarding your suspected ANTI thing. In the future, I suggest you contact the Administrator of a board you want to advertise on. Tell that person what your intentions are, including the ANTI thing. Ask for the Administrator's approval and if an issue comes up with the board members, then the Administrator should step in, and solve the problem. It appears you have made your "Amens" over the issue, and that should be good enough.
If you were to contact me today, and ask permission to sell you calender on the board, per the above note, I would still say no.
I don't know if you are aware of it or not, but so it is not an issue with this, we have a member of our board, who is putting together a calender for the Houndsmen. This person is donating a substantial percentage of every calender sold, to the 2006 BBQ. This is not a "profit" endeavor, but one where the person wants to give something back to the members of the board.
So there you have it. Best of luck in the future.
Posted by Ladeeraven (Member # 652) on May 18, 2005, 08:48 AM:
Bruce, thank you very much for the explanation. I sincerley appreciate it!
When it comes time for selling the calendar I try to steer people to my web site but it is hard with everyone asking questions and I hate to be rude. Mostly I post begging for pictures.
So if it seemed I was selling not in the classified areas I'm sorry. I do try to follow the rules.
I can't make this calendar without the BBS and the hunters photos so I try not to tick anyone off.... I haven't done a very good job. LOL I do step in it without trying. There was the monkey faced dog thing too! ROFLMAO a story for anothery day. I will post that one for you (Its my dog I did it to this tiem)
I only donated to the Rescue cause someone beefed that I was making money off of their dogs for free. (I Googled Coonhound Rescue and contacted a few people and donated to the first that replied) I spent more hours than could be counted on all the web sites begging photos for 8 months. I spent at least 50 or 60 hours designing the calendar. I kind of got killed this first time out. After all the errors we made in shipping costs and the few orders that had to be resent for one reason or another. Everyone whose dog appeared on a feature page got a free calendar (20+ i think), my photographer, then there was family got free ones. We didn't clear $275. If you divided the $275 by just the 60 hours it = $4.58 forget adding the hours begging. Not to mention I didn't keep anyo of it! LOL Holy cow! I am hoping for a better in 2006. I just don't want you all to think I am making a killing here. This isn't about the money. If it was I wouldn't ever do it again.
I said it before and I meant it. I would like to have bygones be bygones and start over. I am cool with not selling on your board. Just so you know who I really am and what I am like!
I will look into a charity or program locally for hunting. Massachusetts needs help in that department. Too many bleeding heart liberal gun hating Democrats.
I would be happy to help out here and there on charities. Maybe design posters and send you files you can have printed. Given enough time, supplied with the photos (the joy of not begging for photos) and someone else foot the printing bill I would even help make a calendar (not coonhounds ofcourse) for a NONPROFIT charity. But... don't play me though. Years ago I did a set of greeting cards for what I was told was a charity. They sold for $12 a set, cost $2.50 to make and the carity got $1, I got squat, someone walked away with a nice bit.
When I freelance my billable time is between $80 and $120 per hour. I can't even claim my charity work unles it's materials. Time doesn't count. Keep in mind I can't always say "Yes" I work an average of 45 hours per week at Foster-Miller and I do freelance stuff and charity work for the Association of Retarded Citizens in my free time.
My fingers are cramped and my brain has too! Gosh, I am a Gabby Gayle like my husband claims!
Now... Does anyone know how I can get my hands on better resolution photos of the cougar pictures?

The pictures would have to depend on what people send me. Here, I'll give you a running start...

or where did the coyote go?

Now Rich if that is you in that picture, you are NOT an ugly Mutt! But what is that you are holding? I don't know anything about "Denning Dogs" or coyote for that matter. I did see one in my back yard recently and our Bluetick Raven goes nuts over them. He really hates them. It was a surprise to see a coyote in a suburban Massachusetts backyard.
The first photo is too low resolution but the others maybe O.K.
Thanx
Posted by Rich Higgins (Member # 3) on May 22, 2005, 09:44 AM:
Gayle, that is not me in the photo. One is Jay Nistetter and the other is a coyote. You must solve the mystery of which is which for yourself.
Posted by Ladeeraven (Member # 652) on May 22, 2005, 09:48 AM:

Is the coyote a domestic? I appear to be alive or am I wrong?
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on May 22, 2005, 10:55 AM:
The photo is of the other twin. I believe the coyote belonged to Bob Davis, who used to own the "Posse Country" predator board, and also well known for the Sturgis Rally every year.

Nope. That's not Bob Davis' pet coyote. The pet coyote was a friends' of Davis anyway. Unfortunatly the pet coyote ran off one day and never returned. No one knows what became of him.
That's pure Arizona in the background. Timonte took that picture during a lull in the action, then things got interesting.
