Cal,
8-degrees with a 10 mph north wind. I've been waiting for this morning all week since it's my day off and the weather looked optimal for coaxing an eager cat or two from a brushpile. I spent a half-hour last night pulling out my cold weather gear and making sure everything was ready to go so I could hunt some virgin territory about an hour west of me with big roughy canyons. That was the good news.

The bad news - my six year old started puking her toenails up about 9 last night and since daddy had today off, I was nominated by the better half to hold her hair back all night while she repeatedly filled the beulah bucket. Neither of us actually fell asleep until about 5:30 this morning, ironically the time I had the alarm clock set for to get up. Story of my life. Oh well.

To answer your question: Yep. Just right.

At 10:00 AM Mtn it's -10 deg here.

The Dodge started, so I'm going out to make the most of it.

Hope she feels better Cdog. Should stay cold your way for another day or two.

Brad

Somewhere around 40 this morning before the sun rose.... a bit warm for good calling weather... but the wife feels it it a good day for weeding the yard....

Good luck on your calling adventures...

CD; Our prayers are with your daughter... hopefully she gets to feeling better and the rest of the family does not catch it from her...

Was 12 Wed with a 25 mph wind, great for calling. And just to think I moved out of the sunny southern California desert [Roll Eyes] [Wink]

Yeah, I had to get up and close the window. Might have been in the high thirties? Much colder than Southern California. (brrrr)

From Marin: good hunting. LB

17 here this AM. Tried a little calling while the snow was still on the ground. Called our spots we have around home. We call them way to much but when its nice its hard not to at least try. No takers today but we are heading west soon and the action will pick up. Take it easy guys.

It's about 15 degrees here right now. Heading down to zero tonight and supposed to -5 christmas morning.
I don't think I will be able to get out until Monday when I have a full day of calling planned.
We just got about 6 inches of snow, so I can't wait to get out there.
