Boy, this one is the real deal. This is the most enjoyable predator video I've seen and I have a bunch of them. First class absolutely. Some of the best coyote, fox and cat footage I've seen. Todd and Jeff are in no hurry to shoot the animals, and as long as they are approaching and show no indication of vacating they let them come in. Results in some really spectacular footage. Lots of it. These guys are obviously realtime partners and they work with and off each other in a way that is truly appealing. They don't let the dialog or the music step on the subject at hand. The boys know their animals and their calling and I didn't see or hear a single thing that was questionable. The camera work and editing were very professional. Just a first class production with the best footage I've seen. I'll watch this one several times. It's only $19.99... should be more.

Dave, these guys, Jeff and Todd, reminded me more than a little of you. Likeable and solid. You should talk to them.

Rich,
Thank you for the feedback. It is a big relief for everyone to have such positive feedback. The only people who had seen the video before its release were Jeff and I and a few friends. We really didnt know if it would be a hit, or a bust. We didnt know the first thing about making a video, we just kindof stepped out on a limb and filmed how we like to do things. Jeff and I are good friends on and off camera and we have a good time no matter what we do, but coyote hunting is by far the most enjoyable for both of us. We are currently filming for volume II and it is shaping up to be a side splitter. For instance, Jeff walking back to the truck with a coyote and his pants falling down [Eek!] , Me getting hung on a fence, and there are a few hunting scenes too [Big Grin] Thanks for your input Rich it means alot coming from you.

DAA I just got your order and we will send it out in the morning. If you give us great feedback like Rich did I will give you $20 too. [Big Grin]

I really enjoyed the night hunting stuff – up here we get 5 to 10 for that type of thing [Frown] I kept spotting things running around in the back ground though that you never mention and it leaves me wondering WTH was that?

Like this, is it a rabbit?

Tyler and I saw the bunny hop past after the cat came in. Of course the the deer was hard to miss after being highlighted.

Todd, that all sounds pretty familiar. When me and my partner Tim started out to make our video, neither one of us had ever even looked through a viewfinder before. We were just completely clueless about the whole process. When we finally got it done, we had NO IDEA if anyone else would like it at all. Just kind of heaved it out there and crossed our fingers. It has worked out pretty good!

Just finished watching it. All I can do is say ditto to all of Rich's comments.

I had the same thought as Rich. It strongly reminded me of DAA's video. Two partners that really have there act together.

This one wont stay in the pile, But will be watched many times.

catskin,

There are a bunch of different things in the video that we didnt know were there until the editing process. A lot of rabbits are in the day and night hunting sections. Yes that is a cottontail rabbit that you circled. There is also a spider that crawls right text to Jeffs Head when he is talking about a call at night. Its the one after we kill a cat and he is sitting in the stand with the red light on him. The spider walks down the rail and down the wall. We had a coyote come running in the other night and he flushed a covey of quail. He started jumping up in the air trying to catch one. We had to squeek at him again to remind him why he was running in our direction. He didnt catch a quail but he did catch about 50 bb sized pellets though. [Big Grin] Maybe we should have a Texas Predator Pursuit scavenger hunt and see what everyone can find.

DAA, I know what you mean. We did some filming with a small camcorder 2 years ago and we learned alot about the whole process. It really helped with the filming on the video. The first year we can up with some cool calls but it was really terrible footage. Its nice to work hard, spend the money and really put yourself on the line, and everything work out like you had hoped. Thanks for the replies and we hope you like the video.

Ronnie, Thanks for kind words. We are glad you liked it. We dont mind being put in a pile, as long as we are close to the top. [Big Grin]

Thanx Jeff. The last video I gave him I forgot to rewind. He got a little suspicious. If the camera work in this one is as good as Rich says then he'll really enjoy it. Since he got his pro grade video he's been filming some of my calling and all my misses! Wanted me to call a grizz in a that wqs hanging around couple of months ago and shoot it with my recurve. I declined the offer as we didn't have a backup gunner. I think he read my will!

Anyway thanx again!

Hey John, I hope it doesnt take too long to get there with Thanksgiving and all that goin on. At least with a DVD you dont have to worry about rewinding it! [Big Grin]

Congrats on the video guys. If Rich says it is one of the very best then it is.

Good hunting.

Hey Q,
How many are you up to now. Did I see a post that said 16 more. You must have been a mouse in your former life, because you have no mercy on the coyote population. [Big Grin] If we saw as many coyotes as you on such a regular basis it would definately be easier to put a video together. In West Texas we have very good luck, but we only go out there 3 times a year. Good luck on the rest of the season, as if you need it. [Big Grin] Todd Woodall

Well I am personally at 83.5 for the season but have been in on an additional 10 or so that my various partners have shot. The .5 comes from a coyote that Lance and I shot at the same time. One of us shot through both front legs and one of us made a perfect shoulder shot. Either one of the shots would have put the coyote down so we each clamed partial credit. LOL I have to go back to work for a while but I’ll still pick on the coyotes when I can.

Good hunting and congrats again on your video!

Thanks Q- we sure do appreciate it! Just curious what was your final count last year, and are you on pace to beat it this year?

I think I killed 130 coyotes last season. I have the actual number give or take a couple written down somewhere but 130 should catch it pretty close. I shot a hand full of red fox as well (I think about a dozen or so) and some coons. Most all of the coons were taken with my terriers though.

I am on track to beat last years take as I usually quit hunting by mid to late February. It all depends on how motivated I stay and/or how much work comes up. I am hoping to have enough time off and motivation to kill 150 or so. I doubt very much I will approach my all time best season of 212 coyotes but time will tell. So far I haven’t killed one coon or fox yet. Tomorrow it is suppose to be windy so I may leave the calls at home, load up the terriers and go after some coon.

Good hunting.

Q,

Finally got to watch Jeff and Todd's video last night (been out of town for the Holiday). Man, you guys hit it out of the park your first at bat! Awesome video. Some of the best footage I've seen, and about the most of it I've ever seen packed into a video that long. Just non-stop coyotes coming in from start to finish. You guys did some great camera work, well above average compared to most predator videos. Good editing and production. No lengthy boring BS or product pushing. The night hunting section was by far the best I have ever seen. I agree with Rich, this is definitely one of the best predator hunting videos available.

GREAT job guys!

Great Job gentlemen;

Great footage, great bloopers, great night shots;

I believe that anyone that is a coyote hunter will throw away their viagra after watching it... it gets the job done.

Excellent. Just excellent.

Thanks DAA, we are glad you like the video. It sure is alot more work than we realized. Its nice to get compliments from a guy who has been there and done it.

Norm, LOL. I think you came up with a new marketing strategy for us. Texas Predator Pursuit it cures boredom and erectile disfunction. [Big Grin] LOL

I got my copy too and finally had a chance to see it. It's very good and very well done.

Having done a video, I was watching it with a very critical eye toward filming, editing and content.

I thought it was an interesting slat you guys took with it. Basically, it's just non-stop action. That's exactly what a group of experienced hunters like this want. You may have left a lot of newbies wanting more details of the how, why and where but you sure tickled the hearts of all these old, experienced hunters.

Keep up the good work.

Randy

Hey Buker, Glad you liked the video! We did set out to do more of an action video our first time instead of an instructional. Who knows, maybe we will do a little more instruction on Vol. 2.

Well, Don't be shy. Tell all the guys your honest opinion! That is of course only if you like it! [Big Grin] Hope you enjoy! Merry Christmas
