The wife and I just finished watching Jay Nistetter's video from the 2004 Huntmaster's hunt.
You did a hell of a great job Jay! We haven't laughed so hard in a long time, our sides and cheeks are literally aching from so much laughter!
Plus you captured a lot of great memories that I am going to cherish for years!
Thank you for doing such a wonderful job!
Tim

Thank you. Thank you.
Did you notice the subtleties in the music selections? That was the hardest part.
"Chain of Fools" fit real nice.
The Etta James (turkey) portion was someting I did awhile back and still chuckle over it.
Not sure what my favorite part was. Possibly the fact that everytime I had the camera ready I saw Higgins carrying that damn sheep. And it was DARK TOO! LOLOLOLOL
Never did dig out my knife. Still can't believe I did that. Blame it on Tequila. That is nasty stuff. No wonder the ******'s called it firewater.

I can't wait to see it!
Did Rich by chance get any video of you burning everyone's eyebrows off by exploding the fire with with your left over 'devil's juice'?

Was there anyone who didn't get their picture taken with that damned sheep?
What a slut! Byron, I don't think I'd ever let her back into the house again, She may be calling out your name all night, but you should have seen how she acted with Locohead around the campfire!
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on November 05, 2004, 10:08 PM:
Yeah, Loco carried her up the wash. It was dark, couldn't see much, but she kept yelling; "Macho, Macho". Wonder what that was about?
Good hunting. LB

Loco, you can have her. Sure wish I could have made the hunt. Sounds like ya'll had a ball.
Posted by Tim Behle (Member # 209) on November 06, 2004, 12:46 PM:
It was probably just as well you didn't make it Byron. It would have caused a lot of quiet moments around the campfire.
I think we talked more about you than both John-Henry and Krusty combined!
Posted by Byron South (Member # 213) on November 06, 2004, 04:14 PM:
Nice to know I was thought of Tim. It was all good I'm sure? You got to be doing something to get more attention than JH and Krusty. Wait a minute. I'm not sure I like the company you put me with. JH and Krusty?
Posted by Krustyklimber (Member # 72) on November 06, 2004, 04:57 PM:
I am not sure JH would like being put in the same company with me either.
I could do worse (than Byron and JH) though.
Krusty
Posted by Byron South (Member # 213) on November 06, 2004, 08:43 PM:
Nothing personal Krusty. Hope you didn't take it that way. It's just that you and JH are both democrats. Sorry your guy didn't win the election. NOT. Couldn't resist. GO W.
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on November 06, 2004, 09:48 PM:
JH and Krusty. Now there's a pair to draw to. Let's not rub it in, boys.
Sure wish I'd saved his picture!
Good hunting. LB

No, I didn't take that personally.
quote:
It's just that you and JH are both democrats.
That part I did.
First you say it was not personal, but then give a reason why it was personal, and a reason why that's okay. Because "I am a democrat".
I am a democrat? Says who? Not me.
No, I am an American.
I do not believe in the two party system, and would never ever vote for a candidate by party affiliation alone.
Who I would vote for, in a secret ballot, is my own private business (there's a reason they put a curtain around the voting booth, ya know).
Just in case any of you were wondering, I did not vote for Kerry.
Byron,
You could do worse, than being put in the same company as Mr. Henry and I, too (IMHO).
I consider myself "good company", a good friend, and a good American.
I don't appreciate anyone implying I am anything less (for any reason), but I am trying to take it in good humor.

Now, don't go getting all misty on us, Krusty. Byron is just yanking your chain.
Although, I'm betting most folks that check in here probably did vote a straight Republican ticket? Why? It's that pesky little detail called the Second Ammendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
The Dems think it permits the Army to have guns. Yeah, that's exactly what they think.
Good hunting. LB
Posted by Tim Behle (Member # 209) on November 07, 2004, 03:39 PM:
Leonard,
I didn't quite pull a straight party ticket. And I actually voted for one Democrat over a Republican. I haven't heard much of anything good about our current Republican Sheriff, so I voted for his Democrat opponent.
I also voted for nearly every Libertarian on the ballot.
In the first couple of elections I was eligible to vote in, I thought I was a liberal. I had the stupid idea in my head that liberal stood for liberty, and I wanted the liberty to make up my own mind and be left alone. In my mid twenty's, I found out that I had liberal and conservative completely bass-ackwards.
There are a few things I don't see eye to eye with the Republican party, but when it comes to a race that needs to be won, they are usually the party to pick.
The Libertarian party sure has a lot of things that I like, and I try to give them as much support in as many races as I can each year.
It would be nice to one day see three or four different parties represented on each ballot each year.
Here is a short quiz. Try it and see where you fit in. World's Smallest Political Quiz
( I hit dead center as a Libertarian )
Posted by NASA (Member # 177) on November 07, 2004, 03:52 PM:
I'm right on the cusp between Centrist and Libertarian. Weird, I thought I was full-on conservative.
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on November 07, 2004, 04:05 PM:
Interesting, the quiz has me borderline Centrist/ Statist, with a slightly left of center tilt.
The test is slanted. Something like the company that devised the recent incorrect exit polls.
Good hunting. LB

Leonard,
No "mist" here.
You just have to be careful when yankin' the chain, sometimes the dog gets pissed and bites, especially when the chain is yanked even though I was already "healing".
I am sure I'll get over it, I did say I am trying to take it in good humor.
Neat quiz. I scored 50/30 Centrist.

Didn't mean to get you riled up Krusty. I was just as Leonard said "Yankin your chain". I apologize if I offended you. For the record though, I'm proud to tell everyone who I voted for. Don't need to hide behind a curtain to support the candidate I chose. You must be the guy that voted for Nader. You don't have to answer that Krusty. Just yankin your chain again. My guess is that if we were to meet we would get along just fine. Don't take anything I say on the keyboard too seriously Krusty. If I do something that pisses you off it is not intentional. I'm not that type person. Have fun with it. Look what they have done with me and Annah the love sheep (SLUT). Have a great week. I will.

Finally got to the PO Box and picked up "The Video". Jay, you really captured the aura of the campout. And 22-250's Hail Mary shot is a classic. Excellent piece of work. Thank you.
And Byron, you shouldn't make disparaging remarks about Anna. She spoke very highly of you around the campfire. ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Taking nothing away from Tom Moore, that was a very good shot.
But, I was the only witness (and no camera) last year when Vic dumped a coyote that might have been almost twice as far, and running just as fast. And, I had already hit him with 80 grains, broadside. It was very impressive. Still impressed. Give credit where credit is due.

Byron,
Don't sweat it, my sense of humor is intact, I just don't like being labelled (most of all with the wrong label).
No offense taken, hey didn't "your dude" come up with the whole "pre-emptive strike" anyways.
I saw a "gathering threat" and figured I better deal with it, Bush/Texas style.
LMAO
Yeah buddy! I don't envy you and the whole "sheep thing", that's for sure. You take it all pretty well, that's admirable.

Says I'm a Centrist in the corner that splits Libertarian/Right Conservative.
And all Republican Ticket as much as a hated to on one.

Leonard as a "statist". Somehow, that doesn't fit.
I guess I'll be happy with my evaluation as Libertarian with a strong lean to the right.
I strongly belive that whoever said that if you are not a liberal in your twenties you have no heart, and if you're not a conservative in your 40's you have no brain... or something like that....
Sounds good, anyway.

Well Jay I had to see what all the talk was about. I ordered your video about 10 minutes ago. Something about dancing and a sheep, heck that kinka sounds like Jeffs prom night.
I will pay for that, but you only live once right.

Posted by Jay Nistetter (Member # 140) on November 18, 2004, 09:27 AM:
Todd, I hate to say it buddy but I think you've been mislead.
The video referenced in this thread was a short bit of footage I put together taken on the Hunt Masters hunt awhile back. I gave this video out to those who attended.
The video you actually just bought is a REAL video about "Coyote Behavior" which is NOT to be confused with "Hunter Behavior", sheep and things.
The dancing you mentioned is in the "Coyote Behavior" video and should not be confused with the smoke dancing that Danny was demonstrating at the HM Hunt (special video to be released in Director's Cut Limited Edition).
If you're confused, join the group. All these guys are confused.
It is ironic because I was just talking to someone about Volume 2 being about "Hunter Behavior". Sounds like a job for Higgins and Company.
Posted by Norm (Member # 240) on November 18, 2004, 10:20 AM:
Jay, if you make a video on hunter behaviour, you will have to have multiple segments... hunters on beer, hunters on tequila, hunters in viagra, etc; luckily within this group, you have candidates for film for each segment...
Posted by Locohead (Member # 15) on November 18, 2004, 08:06 PM:
I think you are refering to Danny oneflavoredcoyote. I don't recall ever seeing anyone do a fire dance. Must of happened while I wasn't there!
Posted by NASA (Member # 177) on November 19, 2004, 01:47 PM:
Smoke dance, Loco, smoke dance. We were all waiting in breathless anticipation FOR the Fire Dance, but had to settle for the butt-flop, instead.
