I'm the new guy on the block. Just getting started calling Coyotes and interested in hunting them for fur and fun. I've been a hunter all my life (since 57')but new to varmints.
Are any of you hunting the high sierras, eastern sierras or western Nevada?

There is no shortage of Coyotes up here. I work as a Compliance Inspector for the local homeowners association and it's not unusual to see Coyotes, Bears, and Deer everyday up here. The deer are moving out because of the snow but the Bears and Coyotes are here year round.
I can sit on my deck and practice calling coyotes. Drives the neighbors nuts! The snow is still pretty soft so the Coyotes are moving on the roads at night. As soon as it gets a little colder and the snow firms up so they can move around off road without sinking in, I'll get out to do some hunting.
