I posted this on a couple of other boards but know some of you don't go there much and I thought ya'll would enjoy the pictures.
Just got back this morning from a hunt I would never have dreamed would ever happen. I was fortunate enough to get to hunt with Murry Burnham. I have known who Murry was from the time I was about 9 or 10 years old and he has always been larger than life to me. I had the good fortune of meeting him and becomeing good friends with him over the past few months. He has been kicking around the idea of putting a couple of videos together and of course I volunteered my servises. What an opportunity. One of the videos he is working on will be classic footage he has from his hunts back in the 50's and 60's he filmed from Alaska to Africa. I have seen some of his stuff and it is incredible. Calling lions in Africa with just a call and camera ? The other video he is working on is brand new, and we got some great footage for it this week. We hunted four days in between rain showers and under windy conditions but it was no doubt the most fun I've ever had hunting. I hope this don't sound like I'm boasting. I just wanted to share this hunt with people I'm sure would appreciate it. I know I certainly did. Murry Burnham is the real deal, and a heck of nice guy to hunt with. We have some future hunts planned for this year. I can't hardly wait for the next one.
Here are some pictures from this week.

Good Hunting

Buddy, that's my hero. I don't know what else to say except I started predator hunting back in 1964. Murry and Winston Burnham Got me started by reading about there adventures in the sport of varmint calling. Folks can say what ever they want about the sport, but the Burnhams got it all started. I've been real lucky, I've met Murry twice, but never got to hunt with him. You are one lucky dude Byron, God bless.

Danny, beieve me, he is my hero as well since about 1974(I was 10
). It is like a dream come true to get to know him like I have, and to actualy get to hunt with him is just something that I never could imagine. We have plenty more planned to do if I can keep up. I certainly appreciate the opportunity I have. The incrdible stories of places he has been and the people he has hunted with is just unbelievable. He talks about hunting with people like Fred Bear like it was yesterday. He is sharp as a tack.

Congratulations Byron; Enjoy this great opportunity; I know you will cherish it for the rest of your life; Capturing it on film will enable the rest of us to walk in your footsteps.
Thanks.

Byron. Congratulations. I can't think of any thing better than a man having one of his dreams come true.
I remember the first time I met him. I asked him what do you do on one of those perfect nights, When no matter what you do nothing comes to the call?. I will never forget his answer. He said "Hell I go home this stuff don't work all the time".
Hope you and Murry have many more hunts together.

Ronnie, he hasn't changed much. He is still just as plain spoken.
The videos are his I'm just helping. He did agree to let me put a couple of our hunts on one of my videos in the future. I kelp the camera running and captured some priceless moments. Hope to be able to share them soon.
Thanks again and Good Hunting

Byron,
I envy you. He was my hero since I bought my first call back in 1970. What a pioneer in our sport.
