From Wilcox to Pheonix in his new Ford F250. We stopped in Tucson and he bought me lunch. So how was your day? ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif) [ October 24, 2004, 06:38 PM: Message edited by: Tyler H ]

Well Tyler,
I grew up reading his stories and columns in different magazines. I met him at a convention about the time you discovered that girls were a little "Different" than boys. He kept telling me that if I ever made it to AZ, to plan a hunt with him.
It's been a dream of mine to get a chance to make a coyote stand with him for more years than I can recall.
That man had such a great influence in my life it is almost unbelievable. I probably wouldn't be living here in Arizona today if it wasn't for his writings.
I agree, it's a hell of a nice new truck, but I just spent the last three days in a hunting camp with him, and most of Saturday hunting with him one on one.
You may have had a good drive, but I had a hell of a great weekend!
It sure was nice to see everyone again, but tell your Dad if wants more in depth conversation on video, then he is going to have to have you show him how to disable the red lights on his camera! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

My brother use to run into him years ago when he would visit his gun store in Flagstaff on his way to hunts. Amazing guy.

Tyler, sounds like you had a good day. Tim had a great weekend; Yet anyone that was at that campfire had a great weekend...
I didn't have enough cash or room on the credit card to buy my way there....
Sounds like you had some rain; Guess it was hard enough to come through the tent walls.. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

I feel the same way Tyler. You were one of the legends I was hoping to meet! You are a great caller. I like the way you always end a stand with a cool version of the "funky chicken". ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Oh yeah, Gerry gave me a bannana. I kinda tried to slide a cheek up on his tail-gate just so that I could say I went hunting with Gerry Blair and we even shared lunch on his tail-gate together!!!
Not really a white lie is it? Maybe a bit of embellishment is all. Gerry is an interesting and wonderful person. He only said a few words while sitting around the campfire, but when he opened his mouth it usually commanded a lot of attention and even more laughter!!! ![[Smile]](smile.gif)
