Email sent. I mapped out some directions yesterday, who has the list of attendee's Rich?
You'd better not be thinking of backing out now Leonard. I can probably handle the feeding of everyone with out Bruce and Norm ( No one will starve to death, even if the steak comes out tough to chew. And I haven't given anyone food poisoning in years. ) But I am going to need someone to finish up all of the Tequila and Crown Royal that I've bought, and while I know Danny will try, he is going to need your help!

Perish the thought, Amigo. I have already been airing out a tent, and begining to assemble my "survival" gear, fire starter, space blanket, chap stick, signal mirror, BS repellent, etc.
So, where is Higgy? I need to talk to him, also?
Good hunting. LB [ October 10, 2004, 03:48 PM: Message edited by: Leonard ]

I think Ole' Higgy Babes is up dong another interview somewhere around the Great Lakes this weekend.
KeeKee and others, if you have a "preferred Bottle," Something that helps you sleep at night, you need to let me know. Y'all can bring your own beer, but I can pick up bottle for about half price ( Or less ) in Mexico if I know what to get beforehand. Or if someone wants Cigarettes, I can get them for $17 a carton.

Yeah, I'm with you, keekee. I have been known to drink a Bud, now and again. When you stop to fill that cooler, try not to gag when Higgy wants to add a twelve pack of Coors light, okay?
....and at least a case of diet Dr Pepper.
Good hunting. LB

Brent,
When you stop for soda and ice, be sure to set those cases of Diet Dr. Pepper on the back bumper, then fill the cooler full of ice.
You can never have too much ice, and it'll serve Ole Higgy baby right for his camera tricks last year
Anyone have a problem with Carne Asada ( That's Mexican for finger steaks in a tortilla, with green chiles ) one night and pork chops the next?
I've already been promised homemade Salsa, Chorizo, tortillas and maybe some homemade refried beans to bring with me. [ October 10, 2004, 09:44 PM: Message edited by: Tim Behle ]

I think or hope, I turned Higgy into a Bud man while he was here! But you never know, I will keep an eye on him at the store!
As for the Dr Pepper, I cant help that I drink regular Dr Pepper myself, but cant drink no diet.
I can eat what ever, really doesnt matter to me, as long as its not no cooked Coyote I will be good to go!

Yeah, that carne asada is a secret recipe by one of their Local Legends; (you know who) made with prime coyote fillets! It's a little gamey, but spiced up with enough jalapenos, very tender, it tastes just like beef, and actually costs more.
Good hunting.
PS, I completely agree with regular Dr Pepper, it's the diet stuff I can't hack. ![[Razz]](tongue.gif)

Rich,
Directions sent! So if someone ends up in Kansas, I'll just explain that you must have added some changes somewhere.
Bucksnort,
A few years ago I had a woman tell me that Coor's gave her a "strange after taste, just like a BJ" I lost all interest in drinking it ever since. ![[Razz]](tongue.gif)

Okay, I'm imposing a moritorium on the entire area for the next two weeks, no hunting until we get set up. Tim, you're the boss; lock all the gates, get those signs up!
Could we get away with that? Ha!
Can't hardly wait! LB

So, is everyone planning on bringing something for the stewpot? We can't let Tim bear the whole burden. If everyone brought some kind of main dish we could pot-luck it every day. Tim could have the honor(?) of menu-izing the collection of vittles so we don't end up eating 4 versions of chilli for every meal. Don't forget the Maalox!

There will be fifteen people attending. Possibly three others. If Tim has already invested some of his money as well as his time to providing for all of us, it would make sense to simply settle up at the meeting place and divide his bill fifteen ways.

Does that mean we have to bring money? I'll bring some firewood, probably be a good idea if everyone could bring a little.

Leonard,
You have no idea of how tempted I've been with the idea of slipping up there a few days early and Adding an "Official El Paso Gas company" lock and maybe a "US Border Patrol" lock to the chain on that gate.
But then I understand the rules of Fair chase and public land. I'm hoping we don't have to settle for second choice ( It's just a half a mile further down the dirt road past first choice ) I promise to play fair as long as the others do also.
NASA, I figured it would probably be easier if I brought the food for two nights, two mornings and something easy to pack off for two lunches. But I've never been much for side dishes, snacks and desserts, so if you have something in mind along those lines, be sure to bring it along.
Locohead, that's too big of a word for me to understand, what's it mean? If it means you are bringing dancing girls, I won't argue, but we have to be sure to steal Higgy's camera!
Danny bringing Firewood is one of the best things you could bring, along with water and if any one has an extra cooler, pack it with ice. I hate waking up on Sunday morning to a bunch of warm beer! [ October 12, 2004, 06:59 PM: Message edited by: Tim Behle ]

May the sun be always at your at your back on the good stands, and the winds are gently blowing the other way fellas.
I hope for all the best times for you all.
Maybe one day we can all do a stand or two and share a memorable canfire.

Shaun,
You know it's not too late for you. If I remember right, you are holding a valid AZ hunting license, and KeeKee just gave up a flight out of somewhere in OH.
If you want to come, I'll get someone to give you a ride, and promise you that you will never get up to find dog shit in your shoes.
I'll even provide you with a loaner rifle, and your favorite bottle for when it gets dark. You are welcome in my camp anytime buddy.
Give it some quick serious thought.
