Author Topic: HM - Hunt Regrets Norm Knows what it's all about Member # 240 posted October 02, 2004 09:47 AM                    Everyone; I was reviewing my calendar with that of my wife's... Apparently I had not written down an important engagement, that overlaps with the planned HM hunt. As such, I will not be able to attend this enjoyable event. My appologies as I was looking forward to some time away from the city and to never ending laughter. I'm beginning to think I should have just stayed in bed all day. I got up at 4 this morning to go hunting and found a dead battery in the truck. So I cranked on the jeep until that battery was dead too. Then I came inside to fire up the computer. Found some corrupted files on start up, and spent the next 3 hours fixing them. Only to find an email I had tried to talk Bruce out of sending. Then I went to town for a new battery, the wife decided to tag along at the last minute and I ended up spending two hours looking at the sales in JC Penney's. I spent a few hours mixing and pouring concrete for a shed only to come in to rest and find that now you can't make it either. I'm beginning to think this day sucks. Can't you bribe your wife into letting you out for the weekend? Bangles and tennis bracelets aren't cheap, but they can buy a lot of forgiveness. ( I think Joyce has 7 or 8 of them ) Try taking her to the jewelry store, have her pick something out and then ask if you can go camping with us again! -------------------- Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take an ass kickin'. Myself and another person will be doing some hunting on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning. I hope we can secure that spot for you guys, as we will try our best. Take care. I'll probably bring a couple of cases of good beer, but if you don't like Miller High Life, you will need to bring your own. No way! I have seen the light and have changed my terrible habits. I have ordered some natural bottled water from New York. I no longer drink beer - tis bad for you. I eat only Yogurt with nuts in it, and I gave up stoggies. I have taken up 1 hour meditation at dawn playing tunes on an ****** flute.
