I don't know if this has been around before, but it's funny. Read on~
A man had 50-yard line tickets for the Super Bowl. As he sat there, another man came down and asks if anyone is sitting in the seat next to him.
"No," he says, "The seat is empty."
"That's incredible!," said the man.
"Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Super Bowl, the biggest sporting event in the world, and not use it?"
Quietly the man replied, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me.
I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This is the first Super bowl we haven't been to together since we got married in 1967."
"Gee, I'm really sorry to hear that. That's terrible!
But, couldn't you find someone else -- a friend or relative, or even a neighbor to take the seat?"
Sadly, the man shook his head.
"No, they're all at the funeral."
Good hunting. LB

I guess I must be an alien because there is no way I would go through the hassle to get to a 50 yard seat, fully paid for, for less than $500, make that $1000, I hate crowds.
I don't need money that bad, I would not do it for less than serious money.

No, not really, Jack. You and me are members of the old curmudgen club, and that's okay.
As long as I've lived in Southern California, I have never attended the Rose Bowl Game or the Rose Parade. One year, I was given tickets on the 50 yard line. Not being very bright, I sold them for the printed price; which was actually a profit, you understand? I wouldn't want to break any ticket scalping laws.
I have no interest in attending a Super Bowl game, unless you invite me to watch it from your sky box. Now, that is the way to go. Almost as good as TV, at home, with your shoes off. That's where I'll be. LB

I must be an even rarer breed, Im fifty years old, and have never watched a superbowl game in my life. Guys at work would always give me an exasperated look, and proclaim I was god damned unamerican!

Vic,
I'm with you. I've never seen one either. The boys and my wife have been giving me hell for putting $5 in a pool last week, and not knowing who I'd bet on.
I figure if someone gives me a handful of money tomorrow, I must have won.
Where were you this morning? You missed a good shoot, and a tannerite (SP?) ending!

I'm in good company with you guys. I don't follow football anymore either. Who is in the Super Bowl anyway? The St. Louis Cardinals or the Baltimore Colts?

The Super Bowl; The thing that you need after a week of constipation and an enemma.
The boys say it is NE Patriots and Carolina panthers.... and their rooting for the Pats;

Now you guys have shamed me! At one time, if I did see any part of a Super Bowl, it was from the lounge of a casino, and that meant that I was on a hunting trip. This year, same as last, I'm not hunting, and not proud of it, either.
Good hunting. LB

Hey Tim, yeah, I should have been shooting on superbowl sunday, but I had my daughter and grandson down for the weekend, so I kept busy with them. Wished I could have made it, but next month for sure! How did you do? Clean their clocks?

I got 6th, but I beat the five guys from the Army who can't simply say "A,B,C,D" The have to call out Alpha, Beta, Charlie, Delta. That Mil. Speak annoys the hell out of me. I ran the paper side All A's, a B and two C's. Never even looked at the sights. Not bad for not even touching the .45 since I was last there a couple of months ago.
I hit my goal and was tickled.
But you should have been there to see Bill shoot the Tanerite. It's kind of like dynamite. Makes a hell of a big boom! ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Talk about bullshit during halftime. During the Justin Timberlake/Janet Jackson number, ole Jason rips off one of Janets tit holders and plops it out for all the world to see. My wifes jaw dropped to her chest. The kids really got an eyefull tonight.

tonlocus I have never seen a football game, since HS, but after your post, there may be something there worth watching? Not for JJ but if they start using the better models?

Don't worry guys. If you missed it the first time, I'm sure you'll be able to catch the replay on any channel you'd like for the next few days. Next up, Britney Spears does Christina Aguilerra at the Pro Bowl
