Man, this new diet is cool!!! 3 weeks and I've lost almost 10 lbs. I miss the bread, but being as carnivorous as I am, I am getting "flaco" by the minute!!!!!
Atkins rules!!!!

My wife tried that a month or so ago. She lost a bunch of weight, I don't recall how much, and I'm not dumb enough to ask her again.
She only tried it for a month, best damned month of cooking I've ever had! I never have been much on fruits and vegetables, and about the only bread I eat is in the form of tortillas. So I was happy as could be!
I guess I've been on a modified Atkins diet most all of my life. My only major source of carbs comes from beer and tortillas, and I'm not giving either one up! I'm 6'4" and have weighed 204 for years.
But from what I've seen and ate, you're right. Atkins rules!!!!

Even the gov't funded studies have finally had to admit that it works. They sure did not want to, and still hold off on long term approval.

Dr Robert Atkins first promoted his diet some time back in the seventies. The rest of the Medical community pretty much poohed him and is ideas and did their best to discredit him.
25 years later, they had to admit, he was right. His diet Did work, and it didn't lead to bad health.
In a nutshell, to follow his diet you eat nearly all protein, and avoid any carbohydrates. I've known several people who tried it, all lost weight and several lost a bunch of weight.
His book lists the url of www.avonbooks.com The wife paid $7.99 for hers, you can probably get it delivered to your doorstep for $10.
