We FINALLY made it up there yesterday. Slipped in between storms. Me and Dave L. shot 73 chucks in about six hours before the weather started looking hairy and we decided to make a run for the pavement. Thanks for the tip buddy!

Good fun!

Howdy DAA
Glad to hear you got up there. I spoke to Ackman on the phone this morning and he kinda filled me in.You were right to get down out of there with a storm closing on you! As you have seen for yourself, that Valley is no place to be in bad weather. A little farther North of where you and Dave were there is another Valley similiar to the one you were in! I didnt see as many Chucks in that one but you certainly know how the weather can keep em down. 73 is Damn good. i bet if it were a clear calm 65-70 degree day your total would have been twice that number. How do you like your new Swarovski's?

Man I LOVE those new binocs. Never thought I'd be sprouting wood just looking throug a pair of binos, but these new Swaro's just about do it!

In all seriousness though, it really is something else, the difference they make spotting chucks. Those little furballs can be hard to spot under the best of conditions. Especially after a few hours of glassing when you start to go cross eyed. But I don't get any eyestrain from extended glassing with them. Don't get as much neck and arm strain as I got with my older bigger heavier ones either. All in all, they really do let me see more varmints. Especially on days like yesterday, with fairly poor light.
