I always drop in here just to see if anything interesting or disgusting is happening and noticed that when it goes flat it is for a few days in a row. Politics is well on the disgusting side and most news is not real good.
Things like that submersible that imploded are interesting and just plain bitching about some things are also interesting at times but when it slows down here it really does. I don't blame Leonard for threatening to close shop,it is his shop after all,but do hope he still is patient with the peanut gallery here.
After moving back east, well south east, I haven't really done any hunting or shooting even.
The population here in my part of Tennessee has doubled in the last few years and the migration from people fleeing those Blue states is noticeable. I don't blame them but wow what a bummer to see lines of cars on these narrow rural roads with a lot of idiots behind the wheel.
the Forest service really restricts access to a lot of areas I can drive to easily and the fishing, although pretty good has fish that are contaminated with all sorts of nasty things. The fish regs have a couple pages of places not advised to eat the fish.
I could go on but you get the drift of things.
I sure do miss my wide open spaces and lack of people. But having a China-mart only 15 minutes away instead of 3-4 hours away is ok but not much of a compromise.
The last gun shop locally is closing it's doors which is a bummer but I don't shoot or play with AR's so they never got any of my money. Time really are changing.
so I read this site in the mornings with my coffee and go about my chores...You all have a great day.

Good morning Walt;
That last line in your post got me to pondering; When's the last time that you heard a teen-ager say "I got to get home and do my chores" ?????

Anybody ????? ............ [Confused]

Im back home again for weekend and not much to bitch about other than the traffic sucks. I hate being away from home all week but hey I got to pay the bills. Now that Im home I got chores to catch up on like caring for the dogs, cleaning house, doing laundry, meowing lawns. Maybe i can sneak away and go fishing for few hours.

Allow me to apologize for forgetting the board! The missing sub story really had me looking at every blog site on the web. and the fact that we were CONNED by the fucking media; again!

See, it's pretty conclusive that the Navy heard a loud implosion Sunday or early Monday, not sure exactly.

But, then the FUCKING MEDIA dreamed up the story: Hey folks, there's only 41.5 hours of O2 left! It's a race against time! We have to collect all these resources! Including a decompression chamber! Wow, it's down to the last 12 hours to rescue these poor souls/WAIT! Credible reports of "tapping" or sounds, maybe hammering? Just think about it, people! Five humans cramped together, freezing conditions, one bucket for a toilet, they were only allowed to bring one sandwich on board so they must be starving by now?

All a bunch of bullshit to increase the DRAMA! Hope against hope! Rush against time! Aircraft patrolling the surface, 800 square miles, but it should be more, bring in another C130, damn the cost, there are lives at stake, people!

And, they were pounding sand up our asses....people!

Russian disinformation is bush league compared to our own MEDIA!

And, I ate it up! When will we ever learn? One thing is sure, as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow. Our fucking dishonest MEDIA will lie, distort and mislead the public every fucking chance they get. I don't believe them. A BUNCH OF LYING MOTHERFUCKERS!

Can you folks in the Peanut Gallery imagine what it's like; an IMPLOSION at 13,000 feet, or whatever it was 6000 pounds of pressure?

Milliseconds, those walls collapsed like the jaws of a giant vice. Those people were smashed into nothingness in milliseconds, nothing but a reddish tint to the water! How's that for an eggbeater? Faster than vaporized, instantly cease to exist, no time to think about it; WAIT! What was that squeaky noise, no time to wonder what the hell was happening.

So, rich people spending money on a questionable technology. Shed a tear, if you must. It must have been quick and painless no suffering; right?

But why the Titanic? The floor of the ocean has literally thousands of shipwrecks, more like millions, IDK?

But the brilliant designer, no 50 year old veterans for this guy, he hires only wet behind the ears college kids. The only guy that kept bringing up safety issues he fired him: you got 10 minutes to clean out your desk! Yup, carbon fiber, what a high tech buzzword!

Except, it shatters, no bending, a gazillion pieces, like safety plate tempered glass, millions of little diamonds when it shatters. So, I don't have much sympathy for that asshole; no voice communications because those 15 minute com checks were so annoying! Send text messages so we can ignore them until we get a minute. Yup, huge ego squished to smithereens!

Good hunting. El Bee

PS and Everybody told him! So I have heard. He was a regular Brian Kollberger, smartest guy in the room!

The important thing is that the media got that nice young Hunter Biden out of the news for a few days.

Yeah, Hunter Biden. Hey, just a kid, we all make mistakes! Also, those laptop photos could be nothing more than Russian disinformation! Are you going to believe the president of the United States, or your lying eyes? Besides, you know how hard it is to walk in the shadow of a great man, his dad; who got rid of assault weapons for ten years, and saved lives! This man confronted Corn Pop! He knows how to use a shotgun, "two shots" in the air!

Yeah, the Big Guy certainly deserves a measly 10%! Do you expect him to purchase 4 houses in three states on a crummy 400k per year? No, a man serving his country should be able to grab a buck when and where ever he can!

God bless the Queen, Man! Umm? Smell that little girl's hair! (whisper; she's sure cute!)

Here is an underwater tour of the Titanic, all free of charge! Why in hell would someone pay $250,000 and risk DEATH to do it in a rattletrap, I cannot fathom? Fathom, get it? Yes an ancient measurement of depth. What is it, about 3 feet? IDK?

Hope you enjoyed the trip and satisfied your curiosity. Don't do it! ko ko, probably has enough spare cash laying around but the rest of us will have time to save it because there might not be any real dives for quite some time.

Remember, it's cold and dark down there. I know I won't deter a man like ko ko who is a genuine risk taker extrodinaire, but for the rest of us sensible people; here you go!

A fathom would be about 6 feet, the aprox. distance of a man's outstretched arms. Ergo, Mark Twain would be right about 2 fathoms / 12 feet of safe riverboat depth. Picture a guy retrieving a sounding line arm lengths at a time.

I have a few spare coins laying around because I don't waste them on one time thrills. Now, if they had an IMAX version of that film, yeah, I'd go see it. But what the hey, a wise man once said "Money that you enjoy wasting is never a waste of money"
Or something like that.

Speaking of IMAX; The Grand Canyon film is NOT to be missed !!!

I have only been to an IMAX film once. It was Avatar and was pretty good but I think it was about twice the amount on a normal screen. I won’t be in the habit of “IMAXING” every movie I go to, unless you are buying?
