Okay, I haven't watched CNN since the election, particularly when it was becoming apparent that Trump was going to win.
But anyway, it's unbelievable how that network can slant coverage! We are told that Republicans control the House, they control the Senate, they control the Whitehouse, so how can they possibly blame Democrats for this TRUMP SHUTDOWN ?
Meanwhile, (on the one year anniversary of his presidency) they hammer him because he said he would build the WALL, and it hasn't happened. He said the first thing he would do is get rid of OBAMACARE....but that hasn't happened. In other words, his first year is a complete failure!
Wonder if it has anything to do with the Liberal RESISTANCE? Wonder if it has anything to do with the entire MEDIA being against every single thing he tries to do? I wonder if it has
anything to do with 2 or 3 Judas Goats "Republicans" in name only, that are siding with the minority party for their own petty reasons.
Now the idiot Jim Acosta is standing in front of the Whitehouse and claiming that the Trump Administration is doing virtually nothing about the government shutdown!
That's what is going on tonight, according to CNN.

It's getting plumb stupid fucking crazy. I have to wonder if were are experiencing the end times ?
I can't watch news anymore including FOX. I monitor things from different outlets.
Pretty much everybody's a liar with agendas.
I think Trump is trying his ass off. The joke of a Republican party isn't helping, see there's not a true Republican party anymore, most are turncoats.
In other words wolfs in sheep's clothing. Fucking assholes !!
Do these people serve the Devil ? there I said it. What the hell is going on ?

Acosta and his ilk never mention it it takes 60 votes in the senate to break Schumer's filibuster. The Repubs have a razor thin 51-49 majority. And that is only when my own Sen Paul doesn't have his head up his ass while grand standing. He voted no on the bill.

The point is, since it's a spending Bill, proposed to become law under signature of the Chief Executive, the Constitution (at least I think) requires 60 votes for passage!
In simple terms, a simple majority passed by the House of Representatives, and in my understanding, all spending Bills must originate in the House. Then, it requires those 60 votes in the Senate. This is where it requires some cooperation to persuade ten Democrats to vote to keep the government functioning.
But, what I'd like to know, why do we have all these crisis situations. Why can't the government function normally without all the theatrics? Sure, it's politics, a "Blood Sport" but don't they realize how ridiculous they all look?
The blame is enough for everybody.
So, I blame Trump for not getting out his message. 2%
I blame Republican Senators for not supporting their President. 18%
And I blame the entire stinking Democrat party for grandstanding OBSTRUCTION. 80%
And, Schumer is calling this the Trump Shutdown! This asshole should beaten to a bloody pulp and his mouth washed out with a strong caustic soap! (something that will cause chemical burns)

If it is a senate rule, they can change the rule to a simple majority. I've heard Trump said to use the nuclear option. Also, I heard a commentator say the same thing on FOX. Don't remember who the commentator was.

Yeah, I saw that too.
At least I didn't claim positively that it is dictated in the Constitution.
