Don't know about cats in Cali but I'm betting we'll find out soon.

I have not clicked, it wouldn't work, before.

But, if it is in California and if it is legal, all I have to say is, nice cat, and it pisses me off.

I have explained this several times, but anyway. When they imposed the moratorium thirty years ago, sport hunters were killing about 75 cats per season. We were supposed to call in to see if the limit had been reached and therefore, the season was ended, whenever it happened.

For many years now, the population has exploded and we would be well justified in opening the season, were it not for the bunnyhuggers that think they know better than the professional game management people.

So, the dirty little secret is that when a citizen complains about a lion in their back yard, there is a permit process and the state hires dog teams to track down the cat and kill it. It is my understanding that the number of permits and killed lions in this state have been at or above 200 animals for most of the last twenty years, but I have not followed it that closely?

So, long winded explanation aside; if that cat was taken legally, in California, it was under the authority of a public nuisance permit. AND, IT PISSES ME OFF!

The bunnyhuggers tolerate the process since it must be done and it perpetuates the moritorium. They like the status quo because at least we don't have hunters killing these magnificent animals for the thrill. It's all political bullshit!

Good hunting. LB

Bunnyhuggers are not for the bunnies, they are against the hunters.

That is interesting Leonard. So this cat (if killed legally) was killed on a nuisance permit issued as needed. I wouldn't think the hunter would post on ther internet if it was killed in a blatantly illegal manner, but then again, it's already been done. Sort of.
