Did a little cat hunting over the weekend. Fresh snow made for perfect conditions.
We ended up treeing this tom, and shortly after there was an arrow in the air.

Wow! Beauty of a tom. And congrats on doing it with a bow because just packing a bow to the tree is an accomplishment in itself.

Thanks guys, it was a bit crazy how it went down. The whole chase didn't go 1/2 mile from the snowmobiles. The track was smoking fresh and the dogs are fast so all that made a real short chase, which was fine by me. We guessed him at 120-130 but did not put him on a scale. Hefting him up felt heavy but then I am an old guy now. [Smile]
