Hey guys I am new to the board just thought i would say hello and let you know that i shot my first bobcat of my life about 5 hrs ago. I was using a J S preymaster call to locate some coyotes that have been tormenting my in-laws (wait that may be a good thing ha ha) about 7:30 pm i went to another spot to locate with some howls then my farther in law asked me what all kinds of sounds that this call made so i was showing him the good old goat in distress sound when we found out that the spot light that he had did not work. I let the goat sound play for about two settings then he said well we better go get another spot light. I put the call up and grab my gun because i just had a feeling that i might get to use it when he turned on the headlights to the truck and about 150 yrds or so i could barely see an out line of what i thought was a coyote at first until i threw my scope up and saw a bobcat,it met its maker when the 243 barked and sure enough it was a cat i was so excited when we finally found the darn thing in the tall weeds it was a big female. When we got back to the house he asked me what sound that was and i thought i was playing a fawn in distress but turned out to be a goat in distress after i looked at the caller. I really was not expecting to get anything from this stand i was mainly tring to locate the coyotes that have been upsetting the in-laws i am sure stranger things have happened but i am glad this one happened to me.I have been calling for about 2 yrs and this tops it all.
