I really like this reticle. Has anyone used one? Does this type of reticle really lend itself to long distance shooting as Burris states it does? "Hold over and hope or hold dead on with Ballistic Plex!" LOL

The only other brands of scopes that I have seen with similar rangefinding capability are much more expensive. And I'm just a poor hunter tryin' to get by, ya know. The Fullfield II is the only one with B-PLX in my price range of $200 - $250. How do you like the Fullfield II line? Yes I know the Black Diamond or Signature line is likely to be a lot better, but WAY out of my price range.

Other scopes that have caught my eye:

Leupold VX-I 4-12x40 $240
Bushnell 3200 4-12x40 $240
Weaver Grand Slam 3-10x40 $250
Weaver Classic 4-16x42 $270

The scope is to go on a 30-06 that I try and use for EVERYTHING. No, I don't pound tent stakes with it. Ha Ha.

If you know about any of these models please share what your experience has been.

Happy shooting.

Red, I have changed out five Leupolds for Burris.

I have the complete line from Fulllfields to Black Diamonds. My calling gun has a 3x9 Fullfield II.It is a .243 Shooting 75 gr V-Max

0 at 100 yards
1 wire on at 216 yards
2 wire on at 324 yards
3 wire on at 412 yards.
It only cost $228. My Leupold 3.5 x 10 Vari X III is a joke up side the Fullfield II. Can you guess what the Black Diamond looks like.

I also shot a 3.970" group with this gun at 600 yards with a sporter barrel.

Thanks alot! That's exactly the sort of info I was looking for. Field resusts at different distances. Can you guess which one I'm going to buy? Probably won't be a Leupold. It's most likely going to be the Burris 3-9x40 B-Plx after a lot of searching and researching.

I thought that I would like to get a higher power than 9x, but me and Krusty were shooting yesterday at two litre bottles filled w/water and hiting them consistantly at about 250 yards, and that's with my crappy World Class 3-9. I shoot an 06 and he shoots the .222, cool explosions!

I've got a couple of fixed 6x Fullfield II's and I really like them too. Very sturdy scopes. Good glass for the money. Mine don't have the BP reticle, but I like the concept.

DAA, After watching you shoot on your video. I don't think it would matter if you had the tube from the center of a roll of toilette paper on your rifle. You and Tim have to be the best game shots I have ever seen.

I have the exball ballistic program. Will give me the impact point of milldot and Burris ballistic plex. Will also give me come ups , And widage for any conditions. I then check the numbers at the range.

I can run you a chart as long as I have the MV and BC of the bullet. Send me your info. I can work you up a chart out to 1000 yards if you wont.

WOW, This thread is my new happy place.LOL [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

I have been shooting with Burris glass all my life[have strong ties to Burris] and I tell ya what, I have been all over this continant with Burris on top of my guns and have never had one fail me. I shoot the 4x14 BP and the 3x9 BP and love the crap out of them. Before them I shot the 3x9 Sig. and the 4x fixed. I do own 3 leupolds that are my 2nd choice but You stick with what works or you convert. LOL [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Varmenthunter, Can you run a chart for my 20's or will it compute for the 20's. My guns are all sighted in for a 200 zero. Would love to know the numbers.

Thanks VH
