Was out in God's Country over the weekend & was able to get some shootin' in with the guys. Also had the pleasure of making some new friends along the way! One fella stopped to visit & shoot, and had his 11yr old son and 15yr old daughter along. After getting Carl behind the rifle a bit, couldn't help but get his kids lined out to scare some steel, too...

Isaac and Carly Belle warmed up by smacking the 600yd plate a couple times, so figured we'd give 'em a crack at joining the 1,000 yd club. Not only did they both make repeat hits on the 1058yd plate, they did it with style! Just had to go down range and snap a pic, couldn't fake those smiles!!!

Nice looking rig, Fred.

That girls dad is going to have his hands full, with the boys. As a father, I know what that's about. She's a cutie.

Right on, Fred.

I can only imagine the tales to be told at school today.

Yessir!
I don't believe I've been around more polite youngsters than those siblings.

Leonard, their Daddy looks like he could pop someone's head off like a Dandelion top. Doesn't bode well for any would-be suitors, as it should be!

Looks like you have the new model Atlas bipod on that rifle?

With the pic not focused on it, kinda hard tell it apart from the newest PSR model. But that one is an Atlas V8, clamp on (model BT-10).

I have one that has a lever and locks onto a Picatinni rail, it might be called a BT 17, not sure, something like that? But it has the shorter legs of the earlier model. Beats the ones with the springs, Harris, Caldwell, etc. for sure.

We will move that out to a mile on your next trip.

That'd be excellent!
On Sunday morning, KJ put a tiny coyote silhouette target out at 1,000yds to see if we could kill it.
Took a little video thru the spotter of the four of us giving it a whirl...
For reference, that closer, fried egg colored round plate is 900yds, and the 1058yd plate from the prior pic is back & right.

Back in my AO, was messing around up at the farm this weekend with this PhoneSkope thingy.
The video quality is fairly decent, can see bullet trace cutting thru the morning air as it warms up...
