Been useing the 52 gr. A-Max in my 22-250 ackley the last couple of years. It seems to be working real well for me, min. fur damage and puts them right down. I have talked with Q and he is useing the same bullet and have good results as well..
Anyway if someone is looking for a good fur bullet you should give the A-Max a try.. good hunting..T.A.

TA,

Good to hear.I bought a box to try in my .22-250 and/or my .223 Ackley Improved and wondered how they compare to the Nosler BT's.I guess i will have to work up a load. [Big Grin]

Good Hunting Chad

I'm really surprised Quinton is using that bullet? In a Swift, right? In fact, I thought he liked the 55 Nosler Ballistic Tip?

Good hunting. LB

I have been using the 52gr AMax in my 223AI for several years and love it. More jacket than the VMax, and great results.

TA. Thanks for that tip. I have been using 55 gr V-Max. They tend to spoil the photo opps.

Yes, me too, Ronnie. I actually like the performance of the 55 VMax (in 223Ackley) and could care less about foto ops.

Good hunting. LB

Leonard. As you know I hunt hogs and coyotes in the same pastures. Even though I have a 45-70, 300 Win mag,and other loud stuff. I have found the 75gr V-Max in my 243 to be extremely deadly on any size hog when it is placed in the neck.

It is supposition on my part, but I think the hydrostatic shock vaporizes the spinal cord fluid. I certainly would not try a shoulder shot with this bullet, but a neck shot has to be seen to be believed.
