My K-Hornet is the normal sharp 40 degree shoulder, and am just using Winchester brass fireformed from when it was a .22 Hornet.
If you get one I'm sure you'll be pleased.

I agree with Cas, I believe you will really like this little jewel. It is one of my favorites.
However, unlike some of the guys here I have had some unfortunate incidents with the light V-Maxs. A couple of surface splashes and I lost confidence in them. I've never had any but great performance from Sierra and Nosler Hornet 45s. I tried the Sierra 45 SP and it was the most accurate bullet I've tried, however it functioned like a FMJ, no expansion, penciled right through.

Thanks guys. The 35 degree version might be a rarity cause I haven't found someone with it yet. I've got a 40 version in a Low Wall that might just make it to a .17 Ackley. Cute little son of a gun. Sage rats would be a kick!

I also have a 17 AI. It would be dandy for sagerats. I still prefer the K-Hornet.

Rich brings up an excellent point about the V-Max bullets.
Yes, they are FANTASTIC -- HOWEVER, with the light V-Max bullets on coyotes, the code is:
DON'T shoot them in the ball joint!! !! :-) :-)
