Thought I'd post up one of my best... The barrel is Hippo tooth Ivory, and is followed with one of my hand cut o-ring fitted Hippo Ivory toneboards. Both pieces are carrying my CA finish inside and out, buffed and polished to a very high gloss. It is signed (I put my real name in the Ivory calls) and dated inside the barrel under the finish. I'm asking $250 TYD
The top section of a Hippo tooth on my bandsaw.. these things are blade killers!
Here it's turned to dimension and drilled out.
Here it is on my pin mandrel, sanded down and about to put the accent lines in.
I cut a couple slight indentions and follow the grooves all the way around with an India Ink pen.
I just get a kick out of the translucence of this stuff!
All buffed out and nowhere to go!
