Rich: I looked at youre call book at the camp-out and there was no mention of this color of Crit R call. Do you know if some where made or is this call of mine a counterfit? http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f208/TA17Rem/IMG_1069.jpg[/IMG]] -

Without looking at my copy, Tim, I can answer that. Yours is an original. My standard and my pee wee are both in that sea foam colored greyish green plastic. The only CC I have in anything but that is my magnum, and it is brownish orange.

Enough of that though, what are the notches all about, Tim?

Back in the old days when we were over run with red fox i found out that the reds prefered a certain pitch on the call. By moveing the band out on the tone board i would find the pitch they liked and then i would notch it out to hold the band inplace.

Good idea. Anytime you try to slide that band, it just rolls on its own and sits down wherever it wants to, t'hell with what you want it to do. LOL

I just figured you were calling like Higgins. That guy will flat out eat a call as hard as he is on mouthpieces. [Wink]

Being more of a teeth caller, I notch the bottom of my call for my bottom teeth at favorite points. This has helped me call hands free when I am looking through the scope, and to get back on the call right away, while trying to get on a second coyote.
