Approximately 2 weeks ago Eli Haydel had a stroke in the early morning hours - possibly during his sleep. He was rushed to the ER by his wife and has been in a Shreveport, LA. hospital ever since. There is partial paralysis I beleive on the R side of his body. He is in stable condition and participating in daily medical treatment & physical therapy to increase his dexterity, range of motion, and strength.Mr. Haydel's overall physical condition has improved but he still has a ways to go. I am uncertain about his speech and memory but he is in good hands right now. Mr. Haydel is in his mid 60's and has 3 wonderful sons who are all avid outdoorsman and hunters - Rod, Cliff, and Kelly. Both Rod and Kelly are invlolved in the call making business "Haydel's Game Calls", and Cliff posts here on GGVG under 6.5BR , I beleive. Please remember Eli and his family tonite in your prayers and pray for a speedy recovery. thanks, cajun blake.
