Got a package in the mail today from Randy. Was The four new Primos calls with his name on them. They are really neat calls and can make many different sounds with them. Just wish coyote calling was starting instead of ending. Will have to get practiced up for next year then lookuot coyotes. Guess it sure pays to have the right friends.

Welcome to the New Huntmasters, coycaller. Glad to have you on board.

Not sure but I assume that you are refering to Randy Anderson? I think I heard that he was associated with Primus?

Good hunting. LB

Leonard, That's the Randy. I even knew him before he was famous. Any way I kind of helped some on the first tape. We did some calling together. A person would be suprised the problems there are to taping like that. But at the start he didn't have the best of equip. We had several hunts where he ran out of battery just when things would get good, Or something else would quit. Of course it is hard to get started from nothing and work your way up to better equip. But he is doing good now and I wish him lots of luck.

I see that the APC site has them listed. It looks like the Hot Dog and the Lil'Dog have potential, but would they be worth $35.00? OUCH!

I don't think any plastic production call is worth that much. No matter whos signature they put on it.
Primos just trying to get a quick buck!!!!! Its not like they don't have 40 million calls out there already. [Eek!]

I know they are expencive, I sure couldn't justify paying that for them, but when they are a gift I'm sure going to put them to the test.

I'm sure you guys are right about "Primus". My typo was the result of just finished reading the February edition of "Imprimis" published by Hillsdale College. www.hillsdale.edu. It's latin; means "in the first place". Check it out.

Good hunting. LB

I think they are good calls maybe a little to big but make good sounds. Like I said before I couldn't justify paying that price but since they were a gigt I will make good use of them. Also I heard they dropped the price by $10. So that should help some.

Yeah, they can price the calls however they want, it's their business, and if they force the money on Randy, I'd take it too!

The thing is, they all work. There is some ergonomic considerations, but the sound is not that big a deal. If you have predators in the neighborhood, you can get their attention with a pink rubber frog. In fact, I use one all the time.

Good hunting. LB
