Did a search and didn't find the info I needed. Have a friend who asked my opinion on the above and since I don't use one my opinion is limited. I think a digital is the best way to go especially where they hunt because of the cold. But which one is best and the most economical and has good sound? The FoxPro is out there and I have seen that on Randy Anderson's videos. I see on allpredatordcalls.com that Johnny Stewart has a new one coming out this summer. I need opinions on what is out there and need to know about some I might never have heard of. Thanks in advance.

I think the JS preymaster might be the best of the "economical" calls. As far as i'm concerned the Foxpro is way over rated. I had one for a short period of time. A friend of mine has the preymaster it seems better. Best value? hands down the WT.

I am waiting for the JS Buckmaster before I change from the 612...
As for price point... I think the Western Rivers call is tough to beat... now you have to replace the sounds with JS sounds and have to watch the antenna setup. but it is a real nice caller....

Leonard best value in my mind is getting what you pay for. Similar to buying a good scope. To my mind a leopold is a better value than say a tasco. The wt comes with loaded. a remote that works extremely well. changes sounds quickly. excellent volume. The older models had a few quirks that you had to used to but the latest one are to my mind outstanding. There really is nothing out there in the same league.

I wasn't trying to put you on the spot, but it is apparent that certain expressions mean different things to different people.
To some, buying a store brand cola for a dollar less than a national brand is "best value". To others, it may mean the best available, at any price.... in that catagory. I suppose this is how you regard the WT machine?
For me, the second tier product that does the job for a third the price represents "best value". (a totally subjective opinion)
No question that the WT is studio quality, and as good as it gets. Does everybody need one? Probably not?

I'm going with DAA on this one. So far the Foxpro is the best that I have used for overall reliability, ease of use, and portability. You can't beat the size. I don't need to pack an extra 10 lbs around. JS's new one might be a good one also, but I haven't seen or used one yet. Stewart has the best selection of sounds in my opinion. But with the ability to record on the Foxpro, you can put whatever you want on there, and most of my sounds on my FP aren't commercial. I still am pretty much a die hard hand call user, and thats probably not going to change alot.

I bought a WT this winter and I'm very pleased.I agree with Leonard that it's not something everybody needs.I've had 2 other e callers and there is no comparison in terms of sound quality, volume,and the remote.I believe it depends some on where you call and how you set up and how you call.I've called coyotes in the west by sucking on my hand but that would be next to impossible in Iowa.I don't claim to be an expert with a hand call but 25yrs ago when we could call at night here it was no problem to call in coyotes,but I've used my hand caller this winter and not had any luck then turn on the WT and called one in.That leads me to believe that volume and sound quality make alot of difference here in Iowa.

I give a thumbs up for the Predation. It has gotten some bad reviews on other forums, but I was happy with the price and according to a friend of mine that has had a predation and a FOXPRO, the sound difference is minimal if any. I like the fact that a USB cable for under $10 dollars can give me the ability to set up my caller for what ever varmint I am going after. I heard on another forum that you need to spend an additional $160 to add and change sounds - that just is not true. I Personally don't need more than 10 sounds with me at a time. And when I make my custom sounds, I only record for a minute. And that allows me to store far more than 10 sounds on my caller.
