This is the second howler I made. I'll be keeping this one for myself. It's about 12 in long and a little less elaborate than the flamed one I made. Very time consuming though. Hope the pics turn out okay.

I agree with all of the above comments. That call is very, very nice looking. But can you call ducks with it???? ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

It looks great Brad. And I'll admit that I couldn't even begin to build something that nice, but I still have one question. When you hang it around your neck doesn't it bang your knees when your walking, that thing is huge!! LOL!

I have this image of Loco borrowing it, making a stand in his ghillie suit, spraining his wrist as he snags it in the strips, while attempting to do a 180º on nine charging coyotes. In other words....It looks dangerous, in the wrong hands.
Just kidding. Very nice work and an imaginative design.
Good hunting. LB

This thing is big and loud, I suppose how I carry it remains to be seen. I'll bet it'll call in ducks but not in my hands LOL! It really sounds and works as good as it looks. The case may be that I'm a better mechanic than driver, but that's alright, I have almost as much fun making these things as I do calling in the targets. Can't wait to get out and use it. I appreciate all the comments!

Wow, Brad, that's a dandy. I've got several horns from these little longhorns we grow around here, but haven't taken the sitdown time to polish one up and see what I can make with it. That thing's big enough that you might wanna consider an axle and wheels!!!
I wanna hear what you say when you howl one up with it. there's a great and undescribable sense of satisfation that comes from duping a coyote with something you made yourself. You guys that haven't ventured into making your own call really need to try it.
Again, beautiful howler.
