Has anyone hunted over the STO remote E-caller?
What did you think about the caller? Did you have any success? [Confused]

Merle, I've not had experience with the STO version, but I built my own version and used it almost exclusively this year. I'm sure there are some differences between what I cobbled together and the STO, but I'm also sure the differences are minor. I used an MP3 player, an Azden wireless mic, and a horn speaker. Later, I added an amplifier. The caller works real well. It lacks the refinement and ultra compactness of something like the Foxpro, but all in all, I'm quite pleased with it.

Thank you DAA, I had found a used one in the clasified section of another board and had purchased it before I had even asked the advise of those that might have used it, purchasing before asking advise was not wise on my part I think I'm lucky on this one, it seems to sound good.

I saw a post on one of the other boards, I think it was CG or GGVG, anyway, someone accused STO of simply using the exact plans to make the RS caller and selling it as his own. After some heated debate over the topic, Steve Taylor responded and admitted that is exactly what he had done, and that all he did was capitalize on putting the caller together and selling it.
