Ran across this and it's pretty awesome !!! Just in time for St. Paddy's Day.
1/4 up a cabbage.
1/4 stick of butter in a large pan. Sere the cabbage, all sides. Salt & pepper as you go. Set aside when browned in an oven safe dish.
Slice up an onion, thin, More butter in the skillet and saute 'em up 'til clear.
Add a splash of Balsamic Vinegar while the onions are cooking.
When the onions are ready, dump them in with the cabbage.
Add a 1/2 cup of beef broth & 1 cup of heavy cream. Mix it a bit and add some slices of Gruyere Cheese (Deli section) then sprinkle on some Thyme.
Bake in the oven 400* for about 45 minutes.
Should go good with Corned Beef. Or maybe Corned Coyote if you're from Mini-Soda.
