An interesting read. It gave me a headache but still interesting.

Einstein once stated to the effect that 'Any science that a child cannot understand is not good science'.
Meaning that if you can't explain it in simple terms, you need to go and rethink your position.

I've always thought the same way about investments and speculation. I don't understand Bit Coin or Crypto or a lot of other buzz words I hear.
Back in the '80s the hot ticket for city Comptrollers was a thing called Derivatives, a convoluted investment plan based on the stock market. If someone told you that they understood Derivatives, that was your first clue that they would lie about other thing as well. A lot of people with fancy suits and fancier titles bought in and a lot of cities went broke.
Rule of thumb; If you don't understand something, the best way to double your money is to fold it over and put it back in your pocket. You can always come back tomorrow when you DO understand it completely.
>>>>---------> One more thing while I'm up on this soapbox is Risk Tolerance; Some people thrive on the high risk / high reward concept. Some don't. If you're one who don't ..... it ain't worth burning a hole in your stomach over. Stick with safer lower yield Preservation of Principal accounts and sleep better at night.

Thus endth this morning's rant.
