Here we have a gentleman on vacation in Florida, posing with a shotgun. Returning to the UK, he posts the photo on Linkedin. Many of you probably know the site, I myself am on Linkedin. It’s just networking for people connections, maybe leads for employment, etc.

So, British citizens viewed this post, posing with a firearm and everybody wet their pants. Including the Constables who arrested this guy….for posting a photo of himself holding a shotgun. I don’t know what else happened, was it dropped, is he still locked up, will he be tried or pay a fine; I DO NOT KNOW!

The point here is that he was intimidated by being arrested! For posting a photo!

Think about this, Peanut Gallery! This is what Liberal Democrats would ultimately like to do! They are so scared to death, pee their pants by firearms, that the only way they could feel safe is if all the 400million guns in this country were seized, dumped in a huge pile and burned to ashes.

There you go. Either feel sorry for “The Cousins” or feel they deserve it for serial stupidity, by the numbers!

Good hunting. El Bee

Which begs the question; If an American tourist went to England, could he be arrested for 'possessing' a firearm back home in his safe ????? [Confused]
Sounds goofy, I know but who would have ever thought that London would someday be run by Muslims ??

I've also seen where their gun laws over there aren't enough to keep people safe so now they are banning knives with blades over 4".

Anybody that thinks this madness isn't coming for us has their head in the sand.

I could be wrong, but the size limit I heard about was 3 inches! You could be right, ko ko, but when you think about it, my favorite custom Caper is a 4 inch blade and I’m pretty sure I could gut a Muslim with it and not break a sweat. So, four inches is still a dangerous weapon, in some hands. But, I could be wrong and my #2 could be right. WE shall wait to see if #3 backs up #1 or #2. Meanwhile, tension mounts. What will it be? Who’s going to check with Google? Stay tuned, Peanut Gallery for the exciting results!

PS see….I’m #1 and ko ko is #2, and TA must be the only other member of the Board still paying dues.

So, here’s the answer:

In the UK, a folding, non-locking pocketknife with a blade 3 inches (\(7.62\) cm) or less is legal to carry in public without a special reason. However, you must have a good reason to carry any knife in public, even one that meets the size requirements, and it is illegal to carry a knife with a locking blade, regardless of its length.

Get that? Actually, no size knife is allowed, unless you can come up with a good plausible reason, like you are entered in the ALL England Whittling Finals, a huge event eagerly anticipated.
(No such thing, I made that up, on the spot)

But, IF you have a damned good reason, then the authorities seem quite reasonable and won’t arrest you if you are caught with a 3 inch blade, if subjected to a whole body cavity search!

Remember, the Democrats view the British regulations as a goal worth striving towards!

UK has been like that for years. Its a country where only the rich can enjoy the outdoors and hunting. But some of anti's have got a food hold in somethings like fox hunting and harassing farmers. Piss farmer off he just brings tractor and shit spreader to town and paints your house for free with cow shit,

" ........... illegal to carry a knife with a locking blade regardless of it's length" [Eek!]

I have enough knives to last all of my Grandkids their entire lives and can only think of a couple of them that are not either locking or fixed blade.

Yes. Me too. I have a few raffle prizes stuff I didn’t actually spend my own money on. I have some Buck knives that would cause an Englishman to faint. Oh, and I have an Idaho University student special Ka Bar, Marine Corps fighting knife. It’s kinda like a short sword. It’s still in the box. I just bought it out of curiosity, wanted to see what all the shouting was about. I have a Buck #119 that is probably even better for killing people while they are sleeping.

But, I’m not a real knife crank! I have accumulated a couple dozen, not as a quest, more like accidentally, some are engraved trophy’s that I’ll never use for intended purpose, like the #119 with my name engraved on it. I maxed out my needed and useful knives probably 30 years ago. I even have a couple genuine antiques, old style and they look well used, but not by me.

So don’t gift me any more. I have enough.

Good hunting. El Bee

PS I should send that Ka Bar back to Amazon, never used it, don’t need it.

I have a pretty good collection of custom knives. I bought one and wife seen it and after that she would get me one for Christmas. Most of them came numbered and have a animal or something etched into them with gold inlay and so forth. Each knife was used to process a deer before it was put up on a shelf.
I used improved Muskrat knives for skinning coyotes and red fox and have gone through 4 with each knife having two blades. The blades looked like a ice pick by time i retired them.
I have a few battle knives which are special they have to have a good size hilt on them to protect your hand and to keep it on the handle when you stab someone. When you take a knife and stab someone in defense your hand will slide forward on the knife handle, and you need something to stop it or hand can slide right onto the blade and cutting hand. Some knives I also have are slashers designed for cutting up a bad guy but not killing him unless you hit a artery. Funny thing about people they see what looks like alot of blood but really isn't and they freak out. game over.
Yesterday when I was renewing my concealed to carry the instructor had targets placed 4 steps in front of us. I pointed out to him this is no longer a gun fight but knife fight instead with target that close. Knife easy to hide and pull out faster than a concealed handgun. Bad guy won't see it coming and you can carry more than one and not be all weighted down. You never play your hand and show knife till you ready to strike, fast and precisive and right to the point. That's all i got to say about that.
