I can’t see Newsom winning this confrontation? Shutting down I-5 is rather drastic. Regardless of the imagined safety concerns, this is a petty little exercise and I can’t see any benefit for either side. You decide? Besides, the traffic estimate seems to be very on the low side, in my opinion. Besides, I doubt that it has ever been done, excepting a landslide or forest fire?

Big part of the Democrats playbook;
(1) Never let a good crisis go to waste.
(2) If you don't actually have a crisis, blow something out of proportion until you do.
(3) Blame Trump.

I have a great idea for Newsom, since his block the freeway deal worked so well. What about airplanes flying over freeways and even downtown LA and SF? Shut it all down, those airplanes could just as easily crash and hurt his citizens as stay in the air until they are absolutely zero danger to the constituents. Make a big deal out of everything and show everybody how great he is on handling crisis!
Yeah, that will work and get him elected president! Why do so many slimy people enter politics?

Politics.
Now, where else can someone get elected to a job that pays $150,000 a year and in a couple of years become a multi-millionaire by 'serving the people'. ???
We don't need term limits. What we need is an audit of every politician running for re-election.

Boy, if that ain’t the truth! And, what should get major attention is Pelosi’s stock transactions. Either she has been capitalizing on insider info or she is very lucky,
But that’s kinda standard with congressmen and senators. They get elected and suddenly become multi-millionaires playing the stock market-especially Democrats!
I’m not sure how it works, but look at Obama. Never had a real job, every job in the public sector and most were elected, yet the asshole is considered quite wealthy. But, nobody seems to account for that wealth, making at the most,$400,000 per year as president. But, to accumulate as much as he has, he would have to make maybe 40 million a year, to justify his reported net worth!
Yes, it’s a mystery, especially Democrats. They really know how to grow wealthy while working hard passing laws and stuff. More like magic.
