So, Trump fired his chief of staff and of course, the guy is still upset about it.
Trump told Kelly that hitler did some good things. WHAT? Can't say that! Why not? JUST BECAUSE!
The fact is, (and I have not spent a great deal of time researching Adolf Hitler) that he did a couple things that have merit.
First of all, he is responsible for the Volkswagen Beetle. That was his project, he promoted it for the working class.
Next, he created the AUTOBAHN SYSTEM! A National system of highways that even today, the fucking Germans LOVE HIM FOR IT!
Four Star General and former President of the United States, Dwight David Eisenhower was so impressed with the German road system that he ordered that we develop the same type of system in the US, strictly for a defense application, and he specified that every five miles, there must be a section straight enough to land a jet aircraft.
This is today known as the INTERSTATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM and it is the marvel of the world, far surpassing the German Autobahn.
I'm not sure, positive, but Hitler came up with ICBM rockets and jet aircraft. His submarines are copied today, if some third world country wants a submarine, they buy them from Germany.
And consider, after the Treaty of Versailles, thanks to the FRENCH, they punished the Germans so severely that they had a depression every bit as crippling as the 1930's in the United States. Their economy was crippled by REPARATIONS, money repaid to France, (and somewhat to England) which bankrupted Germany and was the single reason for the rise of NATIONALISM (NAZIS) in Germany. Any Historian will tell you that France of responsible for the subsequent rise of the National Socialists in Germany after 20 years of poverty due to REPARATIONS sent to France for punishment for starting the First World War, THE GREAT WAR.
Hitler's motivations were to rebuild National Pride. (I guess he might have gone a bit overboard?) But, make no mistake, the German people were all rabid, wild eyed NAZIS! And, Hitler was single-handedly responsible for the (actually) amazing fiscal recovery of the economy.
Again, truthful Historians will first blame France for the punitive "Restorations" that gave all Germans a huge HARD ON, directed at France for bleeding the country dry. It's in the historical record, look it up!
Compare the plans after WW I with the Marshall Plan to rebuild entire Europe after the Second World War. Except for what the fucking Russians did with their portion of eastern Europe! Which was virtually NOTHING! I've seen it, myself! I spent almost 2 years in West Germany and 20 years later, I had a chance tp pass through Checkpoint Charlie and see the difference in East Berlin, 44 years after the end of the Second World War. The difference between East and West Germany was Night and Day. The Russians enslaved all countries behind the Iron Curtain, a stark difference between what we did for both Germany and Japan after the war. We could have conquered the whole world, if we wanted to. Instead, we invested in both countries responsible for huge casualties. Sometimes, you just have to ponder on the complete lack of gratitude displayed by the rest of the world. However, talk about "Influencer". The rest of the world does pay attention to the goings on, in America.

TY well, it's all true and accurate.
Take Japan. A Feudal backward system in place for something like 3,000 years, based on the Emperor as a Living God. They still believe this shit, BTY.
Say what you will about Douglas MacArthur, but he ruled Japan as Regent for 5-6 years and taught them the basics of Democracy and didn't dictate the exact direction, they have a sort of "congress" they call a Diet and pretty conventional Prime Minister similar to what they have in much of Europe. This is such a departure from the previous, it's hard to imagine even how it was accomplished!
Again, this was turned around, from literal ASHES, we fire bombed the piss out of them, and make no mistake, it was punitive, the firebombings that killed more citizens than both nuclear bombs put together. And, nobody gave a shit. The average US citizen never shed a tear over bombing the shit out of Japan....FUK 'EM!
As I mentioned, I casually toured East Berlin in November (I think) 26th, 1989 and it was in a fucking TIME WARP in comparison to Japan, or West Germany, and because of the brutal backward Russians and the way they behave as CONQUERERS with no interest in helping improve conditions in any of the countries behind the IRON CURTAIN, it never happened until the Soviet Union collapsed, and had that not happened, most likely, there would still not be any changes or improvements.
So, there you are, right now, the Russians are still invading another country, and every country that shares a border with Russia is nervous and would not be surprised if one of them were the next victim of the Russian Bear's aggression!
Again, contrast Russian behavior to the West. Germany is now the wealthiest country in Europe and Japan and South Korea are both doing quite well as democracies in some form or another. Meanwhile, Russia is practically bankrupt while still pursuing their aggression in Ukraine!
Yet, we have innocent American citizens that look at socialism and admire it? "A Republic, if we can keep it." So said Benjamin Franklin.
