The King has decreed a new immigration policy. All hail the king.

I actually saw the phrase "Law abiding illegal alien" used in one of the news stories. Isn't that one of those `oxy-morons`????
Years ago, I worked with a guy who came to this country (legally) from Lebanon. I had the chance to look over some of the test material that he had to learn to pass the test for citizenship. I would wager that most folks couldn't go in off of the street and pass that test. The guy earned the right to raise his right hand. What obama did yesterday is a slap in the face to every person that `did it right`.

My guess is more to come in the months that follow. My question is how will the unions take this news? Maybe they will have to pick up a union card along with their new green card. Maybe the next decrees will be against right to work, or manditory card check.

I just saw this on Fox & Friends. The guy who made this film said that no one would allow him to show this at any film festival and only Fox TV and radio stations have invited him on their shows.

What I don't understand is why the unions are still supporting our Beloved Buffoon oBama???
The talking heads on the news recently were discussing the drop in our net worth over the last 3 1/2 years. I believe the number was something like 37%. That's not just `the wealthy`. It's everybody. Joe Six-Pack is now Joe Four-Pack............and a whole lot of Joe's are union members.
37%; Hell, even the 1ndian Casinos don't rob you THAT bad, but the unions still support this guy. My net worth has dropped by a third. Not because of bad investments that I made. Not because of living beyond my means. Not even because of a 3 1/2 year bender of booze & hookers. But because a Community Organizer is in so far over his head that he doesn't have a clue.
And another thing, while the second pot of coffee this morning is kicking in; What has obama done to promote jobs?? I keep hearing from the Forces of Evil that the `Republicans are for big business`. To that I say GOOD!!! Make it easy for business to thrive. Paul runs a business (at least he did before obama took over). If government makes it less difficult for Paul to to make money, he will want to make MORE money. To make more money, he'll open more offices. Maybe one here in Safford. He'll hire more people. Maybe me & a couple of my friends. We all make money. We spend some of what we make and the economy prospers. Life is good.
Then we unionize, go out on strike for more money & a shorter work week and shut the whole thing down. It's the American way.
Ok; it's about time to check the yard for rattlesnakes, give Kay-Nine her morning belly rub & watch the sun-rise. More coffee.

It seems so simple to figger out? What the hell is wrong with people, union members or just anybody? I think it would be completely reasonable if a group of citizens just walked in and yanked the jerk out of bed and tared and feathered and put him on a rail, out of town. And yet, I'm afraid people are so afraid of the Morman shit that they will vote four more years of this asshole. UNBELIEVABLE!
Good hunting. Lima Bravo

I wish I only lost 37%. Physically I haven't lost anything yet. My rental income still pays the monthly mortgage plus a little more to boot and demand is still good. I won't make any predictions if it will stay this way but who knows. I own my home but have mortgages on the rentals. I never refinanced them to draw money out. Just one refi to get a lower interest rate about 8 years ago. Right now they are worth about 20,000 less than what I paid for them in 98 which is real close to what I owe on them. While I'm not upside down, I sure don't have any equity left in them so I lost 100% on that part of my portfolio. All in all I've probably lost 70% of my net worth from the peak. I just wish home values would get back to 2003 prices which is two years prior to the bubble. We saw a 20% increase in home values in phoenix last quarter. I believe that was simply because the banks have slowed down on the foreclosure rate and are holding a lot of homes in inventory. I doubt the return of home values has begun. It won't start as long as you know who remains king.
one retiree from where I use to work is voting obama just because romney is a mormon. He says he doesn't want religion in the white house. He is probably a Dick, oops I mean, Bill Maher fan. I cannot help but think of Bill M. as a Dick for some reason.

I'll take a Mormon any day over ANYBODY who has been to that hateful little insect Jeremiah Wright's church more than once.
I just don't understand the logic some people use.

This loss of wealth, which I have been talking about for quite some time, here. I find it mystifying that the general public is so mellow about all that money, POOF! I know it has changed my plans markedly. I am hesitant to do what I want to do, which is a huge move out of this friggin state. I can hardly stand to be here and I know that big tax hikes are coming; you know, we have to pay for the children's education. Yeah, educate all those illegals and give raises to the teachers. That's the bullshit. The teachers unions are bloodsuckers. Our schools and our children routinely place in the lower 40's percentile and #1 in money spent per child. And, nobody get's it!
Good hunting. Lima Bravo

KOKO: several of us pointed out to this retiree how BO went to Wright's church and Wright's anti american "God Damn America" sermon. He had that deer in the headlight's look the whole time we were talking.
I belong to a small group of retirees who are all tradesmen that worked for the Craft Maintenance division of the Phoenix Union High School District. We get together for breakfast every two weeks. Sometimes it is just two or three of us and sometimes it is a dozen that show up. The vast majority of us are conservative. They are a good bunch of guys.

Leonard: this depression sure has changed my retirement expectations. I haven't given up hope however. If we can get rid of this dipshit, we could be in for the greatest economic boom in our history. It could even be better than the 1983 boom under Ronald Regan IMHO. We need to get control of the white house and the whole congress. If we get enough control to allow corporate america to bring in overseas profits tax free, then we will have the growth I'm talking about.
