I see that Mitt Romney just won a straw poll for the next president among Republicrats.
I swear to god. If Mitt wins the nomnination, for the first time in history, I will not vote, or I will vote for some dogged third party candidate that has no chance in hell. Has the fucking Reps not learned a fucking thing? He is not much better than Obama. Hes a god damned progressive that brought socialized healthcare to his own state. He is anti gun. He is nothing but a damned socialist running as a republican.
I have known for a while that I can no longer claim the republican party. They have left me behind. And most of you, if your honest with yourself. Most are progressives, just slightly better than the democrats we loath. Most are big government, high tax bullshit artists. So what will we gain with Mitt over Obama? Not nearly enough to make it worth even having an election.
Fuck that east coast piece of shit. We need a good, right minded man to run. A good ole, red blooded, white American male. Not a fuckin African or a east coast blue blood.

Andy,
IMO, I don't think it's so much that they haven't learned. I believe it is more of a matter of they don't give a shit what the people want.
Look at how the Republicans were pushing the amnesty issue a few years back.
Years back, I voted for Regan. He was the last president that wasn't the lesser of two evils. A sad thing right now, is compared to Obama, I wish we had Clinton back. Now with supreme court selections and all. This Kenyan may screw up this country beyond repair.
So the next election, we will have the choice of Obama or a democrat light.
Then you need to factor in the intelligence of the voters. Remember when our states voters elected a dead man. I "almost" felt sorry for Holden. When he walked into office he inherited a crapload of problems, and the state was broke, even after those "8 great years" with everyone working and paying taxes and all. Poor Bastard couldn't come back and bad mouth the previous Governor because his death elevated him to almost Kenedy status, plus he was a Dem also. If we have an election. Im not damn sure we will have one this fall. You look back at where and how free societies fell over history. We have been on that path for quite a while. In the last year or so, its been in overdrive. There is a good chance we have our first dictator already in office.
He has the power. He has the house and senate. If he wants, he can keep it all. Just turn the military against us.
Edit: Dan, Im not sure Romney is the lesser of two evils. This time I think its just the same evil in a different package. I dont really see where we would gain a damned thing. [ April 11, 2010, 08:17 AM: Message edited by: Andy L ]

"The argument that the two parties that should represent opposite ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the right and the other of the left, is a foolish idea, acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can "throw the rascals out" at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. When McCain got the nomination, I wasn't going to vote. Then when he put Palin as his VP, I changed my mind and voted. McCain is a Centrist/Moderate, but I wish he was in there right now instead of the narcissist that's in charge right now. BTW: I’m voting for good ole JD Hayworth instead of McAmnesty in the next primary.
