AN INTERESTING FACT
An interesting letter in the Australian Shooter Magazine this week, which is quoted as follows:
"If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the past 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.
"The firearm death rate in Washington , DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same period.
That means you are about 25 percent more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. capital, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the U.S., than you are in Iraq."
Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington

Apparently, math is done different in Australia than it is here in the USofA. Considering the population of DC is about 600,000 people they would have to of had about 500 homicides by firearm last year. They average about 200 total homicides per year and only about 80% (160) of those are by firearm. So, unless there are some other factors in that somewhere, it's way way out of whack.
Sounds good on the surface though...

Good catch. I actually thought something was wrong with the figures but who actually fact checks anything coming in by email? Good thing we have you!

Yea, I make it a habit to check stuff like that. This guy told me that $8.5M US was coming from Barrister Donald Williams Esq of the Nigerian Central Bank. I guess someone with my last name died in a hurrican and they needed me to get the money from his will. Well, I been waiting on the money and after doing some research, I found out it may not be true, though I'm still holding out hope.
Who would of thought someone would send out an email with false information in it? And that's why I check the facts first...

I took a minute to Google it. The murder rate in DC is only 69.3/100,000 - unless you are Black, then the rate is 80.6/100,000. But as of the late '90's DC did have the highest murder rate of any major city, in either the US or Europe.
I'm thinking that they are killing the wrong ones?

How about you just "stand by" until I pull your chain?
Especially about hunting predators. If these guys thought I needed a Nanny to check every random pronouncement, this windbag could lose credibility. Assuming I ever had any, of course.
Good hunting. LB

If you can do that, can you get rid of this Pro Staff BS? I liked my old title much better!

Cripes, Tim. Some people would kill to have a Pro Staff title. What was your old title, I'll change it.
