I just watched the news for the first time in over a year they had the head of department of transpertation giveing a speach about a bill that was approved to give 700 and some Billion to the D.O.T. for improvements or replacements of roads and bridges in all 50 states.. Sounds like a good thing to me and it also means i'll be in the money..LOL ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

I don't follow politics much, the majority votes elect someone and it don't matter how much i bitch its not going to change anything. The man is here to stay for atleast fours years and i still have my job and the future also looks good so i'm just going to go along for the ride, for now anyway..

I may just be simple minded, but my country is just like a small family.
If a small family borrows and spends the money, where does it get the money to pay it back. They DON"T. Neither will the US. We will expect our kids and their kids pay the new debts, if that's even possible.
Of all the money they are spending most Americans will not see an improvement in their lives, just higher taxes. Whether you pay more to the government of just pay more for a product from a company that is paying more taxes, you ultimately pay the bill.

Ah come on now Leonard,I'm a subcaliber guy too and I'm about as far from a liberal as you can get.
As far as the debt is concerned,I don't thing it will be much of a problem,China has leant us alot of the debt we have now, and once they start wanting it back they will just start cashing in on all the foreclosures(Homes)They will be able to overthrow our country without even raising a weapon.All legal and shit..... ![[Frown]](frown.gif)

I look at things a little differently. If the money is going to do routine maintenance like top coatings on freeways and asphalt roads, it is simply a make work program. The maintenance should be done but not to the extent we go into debt. If some new bridges, tunnels, and freeways are needed, then I don't have a problem with some deficit spending to build these needed things now. The next generation will still be paying for them, but the next generation will also get to drive on them too. I look at NEEDED infrastructure as an investment into the future.
Don't think I like the Big O. The vast majority of his budget is simply spending. He didn't even attempt to show some leadership when congress was putting together that stimulus spending package. It was the Big O's chance to let congress go wild with our money for their stupid little pet projects; especially Nancy Shitlosy.

I only have one thing to say about the topic's title, and that is......
The asshole actually IS ALL BAD! He wants our guns. That's all I need to know. Everything else falls into place. When they want my guns, there ain't a damned thing about them that I agree with. Gun control is at the top of my list and their list and after that, it's regulations and taxes and placating the axis of evil without preconditions and insulting our friends and bowing to the friggin' Arabs, and lying and cheating and cronyism, and welfare and handing out billions without accountability, and not paying their patriotic taxes and not paying taxes on their domestic help and (did I mention lying?) flying jumbo jets with F16 escorts between San Francisco and Washington DC every week, and tying the hands of the Navy while sending a goddamned hostage negotiating team, like the guy with the gold bars on his collar doesn't know what to do?

LB, I agree 100%. Ive said for a long time that if a politician agrees with the 2nd ammendment, the rest just seems to fall in line. Im not totally a one issue man, but that one issue normally tells alot about the candidate.
