That picture reminds me of a seventies movie, I don't remember much about it, just some guy in a racecar trying to get to California because the rest of the nation banned cars. There was a gun like that at the end of the movie.
So, this begs two questions:
1) California the only state to NOT ban cars? Bizarre.
2) What's the name of that damn movie? And why do I care?
Crap, that's three questions. Well, this post has gone straight to hell in a handbasket.
Nevermind...

Nah, that's not it. I remember that one. It had David Carradine in it. This movie was much darker, and the only car was the race car. The cops had some kind of electric rig, sorta like a Toyota Prius, but not as gay.
This movie had a fighter jet too, and if my memory hasn't been too compromised, I believe the pilot was George C. Scott. Then again, that might have been "The Great Santini".

That's not a movie. I had that same dream after eating biscuits and gravy over at Vics.

I had a dream once where a Democratic president created something called "NAFTA". Thank God that was just a dream.

Vanishing Point, and the nude chick on the motorcycle was exquisite. Driver was Barry Goldwater? No, that's not right.
Good hunting. LB

No, but that's closer. That car was a Dodge Challenger. The movie I'm thinking of had a racecar, an open top one, like they used to use in the CanAm races. The main character was a former racer who decides to make a break for it to Cali in his car. He had the car hidden under his garage floor, so he had to dig it up from under the concrete...

I don't know man...the car you're describing, the fighter plane (Flown by Lt. Fury)...there was even a character called Machine Gun Joe...that sounds like Deathrace. Think now...when you were watching it, back in '75, did you fire up a blunt? That stuff will take the edge off your memories.

He is a "musician", so I defer to JoeF when it comes to such things. Doesn't it mean the same thing as Reefer or joint?

No Leonard. A Reefer is what you pull coast to coast when you're hauling Jimmy Dean sausage. A joint is something you have replaced.

Nope, it's definitely not Deathrace, or Deathrace 2000.
As to the aforementioned "blunt, spliff, doobie, reefer, MJ, ganja, greenbud, red leaf, colombian gold, red bud, bong, pipe, joint, etc.": I have no idea what you are talking about. I spent the seventies in corduroy and polyester. And yes, sometimes the corduroy matched the polyester. Thanks for taking my mind back to that...
